Today's wedding isn't a Nashville wedding (surprise, surprise). But, the couple recently moved Nashville and decided to have a destination wedding in Ecuador. Because we have some of the greatest photographers around, they hired Myrick Studios, a Nashville wedding photographer, to accompany them! Kimberly and Giles recent got married and I love that they focused on what was most important to them vs. wedding traditions. Their wedding is why I love sharing Nashville weddings. They are a great example of making your wedding yours. For instance, they didnt have a bridal party. They took pics before the wedding and shared special moments together in doing so. They also had the wedding at their home - a new trend that I love! It was 100% uniquely them - down to their Cracker Barrel catering!
While their style may not be yours - I do hope that their desire to focus on the true meaning of their day - a day of love and family - inspires you to search within to do the same.

I am delighted to feature Allie and Brandon's Nashville wedding. Allie has been an ABG bride for a very long time - like 18 mths+. She attended my 27 Dresses party in Jan of 2008 and we sat together during the movie. We had a great time. She is one of the sweetest, cutie pies you will ever meet.
So, when McNeal Video sent me her wedding to feature, I simply couldn't wait to see and share all of the details.
Brandon - you must be special bc I know that Allie is. I pray the two of you will be forever happy.

Since April, I have heard so much about this wedding. From taking place at Baber House, a new Nashville wedding venue, to incorporating a rentacake - one of the first I've seen in use and a photo booth. Plus, the wedding planner was Courtney of A Magical Affair; paper goods were provided by Designs in Paper.

I hung out with Sarah of Planning Sarah Elizabeth last week. What a treat! This girl knows weddings! We were discussing wedding venues and I mentioned that I simply love weddings at Scarritt Bennett. The stained glass windows, the long, single aisle - so picturesque.
So, when I was so excited to learn about Angie Gambill's recent wedding at Scarritt. Scarritt's definitely not a new place but it is a classic Nashville wedding venue that remains a favorite.

I can't figure out if Phindy Studios attracts creative and chic brides or if Phindy's photographers capture all of their brides' creativity. Either way - I always look forward to seeing the weddings they shoot. For instance, in the wedding featured below, I just love the purple and orange color combination. It offers great contrast and says a lot about the couple - modern and edgy with a touch of tradition - but just a touch.
