Caprice of The Enchanted Florist told us that Mercedes (bride) wanted a "lush and romantic" wedding. Wed in South Africa, Celebrate in Nashville: One Couple’s Cross-Continent Story
Friday, February 25, 2011
It's daunting enough planning one wedding, but Terri Ann and her fiance (now husband) Berchaun planned two weddings while still living in New York City - one wedding in South Africa and another here in Nashville at Historic Cedarwood. How'd she do it? She relied heavily on AshleysBrideGuide.com (yay!) and other online resources to find the perfect plan and resources for her wedding.
Thanks to Historic Cedarwood, Phonix Capture {South Africa) and Daniel Meigs Photography {Nashville) who all played a role and allowed us to share this wonderful wedding journey.

Friday, February 18, 2011
Today's wedding was sent to us from Jenna Henderson of jHenderson Studios. The wedding took place at CJ's Off The Square in Franklin, TN. The couple chose a simple and chic color combination of black against lively fucshia which added such a pop to the already lovely venue. According to Jenna; "It was a perfect September day, great weather without a single cloud in the sky. They were so in love and after the wedding ceremony you couldn't pry them apart; they were together all night".

Sharing Their Joy - A Couple Weds + Brings Warmth To Those In Need
Thursday, February 17, 2011
We received an email from Kellie Bryson, owner of A Catered Affair about a bride and groom whose wedding she had catered and for whom her company, The Bake Shoppe, had designed a cake. The couple, Lydia and Jason Jolly had donated blankets to the less fortunate here in Nashville in lieu of wedding favors. In her email she told us, "Lydia had a unique sign in area for her wedding reception November 13 – a very thoughtful gesture on her wedding day. I have shared the notion many times since I learned of it – I have been so impressed by her generosity on her WEDDING day."

Lovely Lanterns - Kristin & Lewis’ Wedding with McNeal Wedding Video
Thursday, February 10, 2011
Since it's been a rather frigid, cold week, we thought we'd whisk you away to a warmer time of the year to a pretty spectacular wedding on the grounds of the bride's parent's home. Lush greenery, beautiful surroundings with the evening topped off with the coolest element I've seen at a wedding so far - hot air balloons. Before you get all incredulous on me, let me just preface this by saying these aren't ordinary hot air balloons. You'll just have to keep reading to see what I mean. Here with a wonderful recap of the day is Cheryl from McNeal Wedding Films. Taken from Cheryl's Notes on their blog, we get to relive the day as they saw it. Enjoy!

Missing Warmer Days? Enjoy A Summer “Destination Nashville” Wedding
Thursday, December 23, 2010
With temperatures of 20 degrees, it's easy to forget our hot Nashville summers. In fact, with a heat index of 100 degrees, Nashville brides often avoid planning a summer wedding. But not, Dan (and ER doctor) and Amanda (a nurse) who both reside in Michigan. They choose to have a Destination Nashville; and for them, August 14th was a day to remember.

Tuxedo Tale: A Stylish Groom Shares His Tuxedo Shopping Adventure
Thursday, December 16, 2010
As women, we know exactly where to go to find inspiration when shopping for our wedding gown. There are magazines galore, websites and blogs, movies, TV shows, the internet... but for the guys, unless they're willing to browse through your girly magazines and sites, they're left with maybe movies or friends' weddings for references. Sometimes the grooms are left to their own devices and in the case of today's groom, he did a great job, but it wasn't without a bit of elbow grease!

It takes a talented eye to just look around at everyday settings to find inspiration for a special occasion. Today's real wedding features a great outdoor wedding that took place on the groom's parents' farm (another testament that sometimes you already have what you need) with decor and the vision inspired by the bride's own home. To put it all together, the bride and groom hired Regalo Design to implement their dream and created a beautiful wedding day.

An AMAZING Nashville Wedding, Full of Color and Culture
Friday, December 3, 2010
After a crash course in traditional Chinese weddings when my husband and I got married, I have a newfound respect for ethnic wedding traditions from all over. There are no shortcuts; every little thing is symbolic and the wedding ceremonies, though long, are as beautiful and meaningful as they are elaborate. In today's real wedding feature, we get a quick glimpse into what I can only imagine to be an amazing day for Sneha and Lee. Starting with a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, the couple cap the night off with an elegant reception. The wedding was photographed by McLellan Style (who we LOVE) and planned/coordinated by A Delightful Day Event Planning (who we also LOVE). It's thanks to them that we get to share this spectacular wedding with you!

Real Wedding Inspiration: Ashley + Logan Wed at The Factory at Franklin
Friday, November 26, 2010
With five days to spare and rain in the forecast, what were Ashley and Logan to do? Turns out, their contingency plan to move the wedding to the Factory at Franklin set the stage for a beautiful wedding photographed by Myrick Studios who shared pictures of the beautiful bride and her handsome groom. This is what thrills me about our Real Wedding features - the surge of joy I get from looking at the pictures, sharing in the details that seem small to the rest of us but are so so significant to the couple. We wish all the best to Ashley and Logan, and that they experience the fun and happiness of their wedding day every single day for the rest of their lives together!
