What’s in Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit? A Nashville Planner Shares Hers
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Can you guarantee that your bridal party is all smiles in your wedding photos? According to Toni of Celebrations by Design, Vaseline does the trick. It's one of many items in her famous wedding day kit. As the story goes, if you place Vaseline on your teeth, it will keep you from closing your mouth, keeping a manufactured smile on your face. Apparently, it's a trick from her pageant experience that works for weddings too. Not only does Toni swear by Vaseline, she has a coveted list of other wedding day items that I was lucky enough to snag.
If you are a bride, maid, mom, or wedding planner, take a look at the wedding day emergency lists below and make sure that you are all set for your big day! Let us know if we've missed something that you find helpful to include.

Primarily, the brides kit should include things to ensure your comfort and to maintain your appearance. Suggested items for all of you brides to include in your wedding day kit:
Extra set of shoes
Extra bra
Toiletries - i.e. feminine products, perfume
Earring backs
Extra jewelry - in the event something breaks or you don't like the look
Hair maintenance - hairspray, flat irons - if you don't have a stylist present
Makeup maintenance - blotting sheets for shine, lip gloss
Face shield for putting on dresses so they don't get makeup on them
First aid kit with medicine like Tylenol, Tums
Breath mints instead of gum
Hand sanitizer

As a wedding planner, Toni is more than happy to share her kit components with other Nashville planners. Planners should include most of the bride's items listed above in addition to the items below:
