Congratulations on your engagement Christmas brides!!!

If you are like hundreds of other Nashville women who got engaged this holiday season, I'm sure you're wondering where to begin. Do you start with the bridal magazines? bridal shows? friend referrals? Do you set a date or wait?

My advice? Wait! Don't set anything. Get smart and then develop a plan of action that helps you prioritize what matters most. I assure you that the most important thing is building on your relationship...so let's start there.

The Unabridged Bride helps Nashville brides keep the main thing (your marriage), the main thing

Back in July, an ABG bride lamented (pre-marriage) that she wished she had gone to the The Unabridged Bride workshop when she first got engaged.

She mentioned. ""I could have avoided a good chunk of stress, frustration, WPM's (Wedding Planning Meltdowns) and pre-marital throw-downs if I'd had The Unabridged Bride: A Workshop under my belt. Seriously." - Louise, a.k.a The Thirty-Something Bride.

I could not agree more. I was a speaker at the session and, even as someone who's been through the whole bride/wedding planning thing, I learned a ton more about wedding planning / marriage planning and recommend this in-depth analysis to every bride.

So what is it?

Unabridged Bride is the brainchild of Liza Hippler and Marie McKinney Oates. Liza is a bridal coach and runs Maiden to Married (maidentomarried.com) and Marie offers pre-marital counseling and bonding workshops for you and your fiance with her company Nashville Marriage Studio (NashvilleMarriageStudio.com).

This workshop focuses on the newly-engaged girl’s emotional well-being to help her make her way through the process from start to finish while still maintaining her sanity and love for her fiance. These workshops put you in touch with a community that’s been gathered with you and your well-being in mind, and one that will become a great support system and resource to you.

The next workshop will be at the Hutton Hotel on January 30th, featuring eight speakers who specialize in budgeting, finances, fitness and (of course) weddings.  You still have time to sign up for the January 30th workshop at the discounted rate which expires on the 17th.

So before you stress over your date or venue or dress or whether you want a ring bearer or not, step back a bit and start with what’s most important - you.
