Favorite Finds from Nashville Bridal Show: Weddings The Bridal Show (2)
Tuesday, February 1, 2011
Wedding shows are good places for you to view a wedding vendor's, offline and in work. If their creativity shines and attracts you in what is essentially a wedding marketplace, imagine what they could do on a larger scale for your wedding! I hope you like these as much as me and my photographer for the day Alex Bee Photography did.
More Favorites from Weddings, The Bridal Show

Favorite Event Decor
We're big fans of themes, whether it's based on color schemes or styles. The vintage wedding trend is still a favorite among brides so to see Chef's Market's take on it is just a delight because not only do they serve good food, they know how to complement it with decor. For brides who are looking for the complete package, Chef's Market may be the way to go.

In contrast, rental company Liberty Party Rental gave us a very chic, monochromatic contemporary tablescape. As a huge fan of Tiffany & Co., I was mezmerized by this table. I especially like how they creatively braided the sash through the back of the chair.

Silver adds a touch of luxury to Tiffany blue. Liberty put their twist on the chair tie by braiding it through the backs - a unique and very creative touch!

Classic Party Rentals' (Nashville.ClassicPartyRentals.com) white-on-white tablescape packs a super elegant punch. This set up is perfect for hotel ballrooms to really take the eye away from the busy, usually ugly hotel carpet. Tres chic!

New Nashville-area Wedding Venues
I saw lots of destination venues as well as some pretty, historic outdoor venue sites at the show. These vendors think outside the box and instead of standing there peddling who they were, they let their booth decor speak for them and their style.
Main Event Productions introduced their new outdoor venue Legacy Farms. They transformed part of their booth into part of the farm's decor with a vintage looking armoire and armchair. Main Event Productions also runs Legacy Farm's more modern sister venue, Events @ 1418. They're more of a one-stop business that also boasts a wonderful wedding cake bakery and catering staff whose food will never cease to make your mouth water.

RT Lodge (RTLodge.com) is a destination venue out in Maryville, TN. After a very quick chat with the owners I learned that the venue can accommodate up to 400 guests and has an ample number of guest bedrooms as well. When you book a wedding there the lodge is exclusive to you and your wedding so it's almost like your very own retreat!

Cute dishes, rustic wooden chairs - perfect for a bride looking for more of a country, woodsy feel.
Favorite Cakes and Caterers
As much as I'd like to feel sorry for you for having the tough task of picking from Nashville's fabulous cake bakers, I don't because they are all wonderful! Still, I know I'd have a hard time because each baker designs such beautiful cakes that are as tasty as they are spectacular looking. But as long as I get to see and sample them, I hope they never stop creating their works of art.
The Bake Shoppe (part of Main Event Productions) showed off a few new cakes this year. Their designs are softer, more pastel when it comes to color choices and are a little more modern. They also can do cake buffets with smaller cakes in the same color and style, or the full-on, classic wedding cake.

Maples Wedding Cakes now offers a new Cake Bar where you and your guests get to have not just one or even two but several choices in flavors, fillings and frostings. Of course, you'llstill get a custom designed cake but along with that cake, you can also have a signature cake shot that's created for your wedding and the option to do a mix and match cake bar that will be prepared for your guests by their expert "caketenders!"

Can't decide which is more stunning - the toile or the butterfles!

Classic, oh-so-pretty floral cakes

I was excited to see that Down South Delights was at the show but the line was so long that I only smelled the food from a distance. Can't say I'm surprised - Down South Delights puts together a wonderful selection of food that's got the comfort of Southern fare with special touches and twists to suit your event.

It was nice to see some of our favorite wedding specialists (and website advertisers) like Nashville Event Lighting who shared a space with Blue Nova Weddings. We also stopped by to see our photographers Jonathon Campbell Photography, The Collection and Myrick Studios. If you missed the show, I hope our favorites from today and yesterday give you a good idea of resources available for your Nashville wedding. Have a look at our wedding vendor directory as well - we've got a great listing of vendors who can take care of your every need for your big day.
Leave us a comment if we didn't mention some of YOUR favorites that you feel we should feature on Ashley's Bride Guide!
