Schermerhorn: 8-10 feet of water and rising, closed for at least a month; Gaylord Opryland Hotel under 10 feet of water and rising.
Many wedding venues have been ruined or significantly impacted. Many Nashville brides and grooms are being displaced after losing their venues or may have lost many of their wedding items - such as bridal gowns, invitations, etc. Here is a quick list of available resources. I will update it daily so please contact me with any needs/resources.
VENUES:
- "Southall Eden can accommodate a limited number of May or June weddings and/or receptions displaced by flooding with proof of contract. Deep discounts will be offered based on number of guests and duration of the event. An event planner is required, but for those who do not have a planner, our preferred planning company, Premier WED, will also help brides at a reduced rate. Contact Shannon O'Kelley at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)".
- Events @ 1418 will also help displaced brides – when a contract is presented from a flooded venue. Contact Kellie Bryson at 615.321.2394
- Travellers Rest Plantation and Museum is available to help any brides searching for a new venue for their wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner or any special event. Please contact Claire at 615-832-8197 if you are looking for an alternate venue after the flood!
- Music Valley Event Center is an option if you need a venue for an upcoming event. Call to see if they can help you move your event to Music Valley Event Center. Please call Alyssa Pruitt @ 615-522-7914.
- DUREGO (http://www.durego.net) has dates available for displaced events. Donations will be made to the Nashville Red Cross from each displaced event. DUREGO EVENTS is an 8440 square foot facility that hosts weddings/wedding receptions, birthday parties (including Sweet 16), fund raisers, album release parties, company meetings, retirement parties, music listening events and much more. Visit http://www.DUREGO.com or call (615) 283-8625.
- "The Nashville City Club was totally spared from everything and is fully operational. I wanted to offer to my help to any displaced brides or upcoming events from Nashville area venues that have suffered damage. Most of my weekdays are fairly open in the next few weeks and I also have space Friday, May 7th, 14th, and 21st as well as Saturday May 29th. I can also help with Sunday or Day-time weddings in May, June and beyond. Friday, June 18th is open as well as many of my Fridays in July. If you could let people know that I will be as flexible as I can with budgets, but we can't allow outside catering (I have had this question but we are very flexible with our menus, etc). Please let me know if you need anything... I would be more than happy to help you out in anyway we can. I am in the office and you can reach me on this email, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 615-620-1327."
- You can donate to Nashville's Red Cross in one of two ways 1) Mail a check to the Nashville Area Red Cross 2201 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 * Be sure to put "Nashville Disaster Relief" in the memo line 2) Call (615) 250-4300 to make a donation by phone.
