Mini desserts have been very popular in weddings and Nashville brides and grooms are loving this tasty trend too. What I love about mini desserts at weddings is that I can sample several great desserts without feeling guilty because they are enough to enjoy but not too much to overeat or feel like I'm wasting!
I chatted with Sarah of Chef's Market (a Nashville company known for their fabulous food and desserts) to learn a bit about mini desserts and how couples are using them to add fun and deliciousness to their Nashville weddings.

How do couples incorporate mini desserts into their wedding reception? Many couples either choose to do a mini dessert station or a stand alone mini dessert only; and most couples offer mini desserts in addition to their bridal cake.
What's the appeal of mini desserts? Why do couples go this route? Couples like variety. If they are offering guests a full meal, it allows them to save room for cake and dessert because everything is smaller. Some couples want something fun to add for their guests' experience. They are not only appealing because they have fewer calories, but because they are compact and they are easy to eat.
Do couples usually have a groom's cake and mini desserts? Some couple do decide to replace the groom's cake with mini desserts. A recent groom replaced his groom's cake for a bite-size truffle. It was a great complement to the bridal cake.
What are some of the mini desserts that have been popular with your engaged couples? Dessert shots, truffles, mint chocolate mousse shots, white chocolate banana pudding.
Awwww - I absolutely LOVE your banana pudding but I think I'll stick with an extra large portion!
The Here Come the Brides bridal show is offering complimentary tickets to readers of AshleysBrideGuide.com. I attended the bridal show last year and it was fun. What immediately stood out about this show is that there were different vendors that I usually don't see at other shows. So, if you have attended some of the other Nashville bridal shows but still want in-person ideas and resources, check out Sunday's show because more than likely, you will meet vendors you haven't seen elsewhere. Plus, the show is free for our readers so why not go and enjoy your wedding planning with friends?!
Tickets are $8.00 but email [email protected] to request free tickets for ABG brides and guests. In your email, include your name, date of reception, and how many tickets you will need.

Front Porch Farms is an incredible wedding venue whose location is remote enough to be surrounded by Tennessee's beautiful nature, but close enough to Nashville to be accessible for guests. Owners Kathy and Brian have created a tranquil venue full of bridal candy that brides love; which is made more spectacular when the weather cooperates as it did on May 5 when Maegan and Josh got married.
When their wedding was featured on the Front Porch Farms blog, here's what the venue's owners had to say..."Not only was it beautiful but it was fun, fun, fun! I loved getting to know Maegan’s family during the planning process and they were even more fun to spend the day with – and so talented! Doesn’t that grand exit with sparklers and sombreros just about sum it up? The details were just as lovely and endearing as the couple."
I LOVE this wedding! It's vibrant, fun, and full of wonderful details. I pulled a few of my favorite shots from their wedding, which was VERY hard to do. But I did the best I could! And Maegan - great job on the bridesmaid dresses - super cute color palette.

The Nashville City Club has several spaces; from its ballroom to its meeting rooms. For months, I have coveted their newly updated dining room but it was only available to its private members. Now, the space is available to the public and can be reserved for private events. The space and view are spectacular. Sitting above the city, the room overlooks Nashville's riverfront, LP Field, and the Cumberland River. The view is just as great during the day as the night!
If you are hosting a private event and want an intimate, modern space with an enviable view, check out the Nashville City Club. It's centrally located, which is great for guests who want to easily enjoy Nashville before or after your event.
