Last month, Nashville bride Hanna shared with us how she and fiance Bobby were incorporating their bulldog {Bella} into their wedding celebrations. Since, I’ve learned a bit more about how truly awesome her wedding (and every aspect in between) will be!
First Bella, then bling
After I featured Hanna’s engagement photos, I received the following email from my Twitter buddy Rachel:
“I am designing her wedding invitation suite and everything you can image graphic-wise for her wedding. I posted pictures of her engagement party invitations on my blog and I just finished up her save the dates. She is super-fun to work with. I have a feeling her wedding is going to be amazing! You can check out her engagement party invitations here: http://www.racheljasperdesign.com/“.
Of course I checked it out + loved…

…and had to see more. So, I reached back out to Hanna to learn more about this fabulous engagement party. That’s where Hartz Photographic step in. They were there to capture every moment of Hanna and Bobby’s engagement party. Here’s a little background, provided by Hanna.
Savor every moment of the wedding journey
On November 7th my mom, Kennan Thomas, hosted my engagement party at her home in Governor’s Club. This was a nerve wreaking day for myself & my fiancé Bobby because this was the first time for our parents, family & friends to meet, so we wanted it to be perfect!

I began the day by getting my hair done by Sarah Cozen at Pink Mullet Salon, she is also doing my hair for the wedding. My makeup was done by Meg Boes who is a freelance makeup artist.
I felt beautiful & the house looked amazing. My mother did all of the flower arrangements around her home. Everywhere you looked was beautiful fresh flowers. She surprised me with a logo projection of our names at the entrance of the home from Blake at Nashville Event Lighting. Everything was so elegant! The theme we have been going for throughout the entire planning process is “Modern Elegance with a touch of BLING”.
As guests entered the home the music of Peter Skrabak filled the air, he is one of the most talented guitar players I have ever seen. The dining room table was decorated with childhood pictures of myself & Bobby with the cake displayed in the center from Desert Designs by Leland. I have never seen a more beautiful cake and it tastes as good as it looked! We served heavy hor des voiries from Providence Farms & the guest raved over the tasty treats. I decorated wine glasses as gifts for my bridesmaids & they turned out to be a big hit, yay it was worth the 6 hours of gluing!
Hartz Photographers were snapping pics throughout the party. I feel hiring photographers, even for the parties, is a must! They captured all of the fun so I will never forget! My invitations were created by Rachel Jasper Designs. She is creating everything to coordinate from the engagement invitations, save the date, wedding invitations, everything. I met with Rachel & she created exactly what I wanted!
Overall the party felt like a whirlwind! It went by so fast, but every memory from it is perfect! By the end we were one big happy family having a dance off, even my mamaw was dancing to the beats of the Black Eyed Peas! I highly recommend having an engagement party. Savor every moment & make it last, celebrating every chance you get until the big day!
hanna’s so cute! bobby ain’t bad either:)
Is every Nashville wedding vendor involved in Hanna’s wedding plans? I sure can’t wait to see her bridal shower, wedding day…baby shower:). She will start her guest blog on ABG very soon!
