Favorite Finds from Nashville Bridal Show: Weddings The Bridal Show (I)
Monday, January 31, 2011
On a rare, slightly warmer Sunday afternoon, I made my way downtown to the Nashville Convention Center to attend Weddings The Bridal Show. I was so excited - this bridal show was an opportunity for me to see what else is available to brides in Nashville and to find out more about vendors I'd only heard about. I also was on the lookout for wedding finds for several friends who recently got engaged. Unfortunately, due to a slight misunderstanding I wasn't given access to all of the show participants but fear not, I covered the show as best I could!
There were so many that I just loved but I wanted to share these first because these were the ones that REALLY caught my attention. I think how a vendor stands out in a sea of booths speaks volumes of what they can do on a larger scale at a wedding. Alex Bee Photography was right there with me to photograph everything. Thanks Alex!

Mere Bulles Food Truck - MereBulles.com
I actually squealed. I think the concept of food trucks is just great and while they've been around for a while, I have yet to see one used at a wedding. They're a unique way to serve food at your event especially if you're going for more of a fun atmosphere at an outdoor venue. The Mere Bulles truck has a massive kitchen (by food truck standards) and can churn out piping hot food right there and then so everything is even fresher and tastyier.

From Ashley: I LOVE Mere Bulles so you can just sign me up for ANYTHING they offer. I'm very excited about a Mere Bulles food truck and think it could be a great addition to your casual engagement picnic or even your whimsical wedding reception.
Regalo Design - RegaloDesign.com
Absolutely dreamy. You could spot the tissue paper poms/flowers (which they hand made) a mile away and as you got closer, you could smell the fragrance from the fresh flowers in the booth. Regalo Design showed off their decorating skills that got the attention of so many brides. Plus they were handing out their pink Bride sashes to every bride who stopped by! Their booth felt like its own little haven in the huge, crowded hall with its soft colors and delicious vintage decor. What we saw at the booth is precisely what you can expect from them at weddings they plan - they take care of decor, florals and you so you have even less to worry about.

Signature Cakes by Vicki - SignatureCakesByVicki.com
There was no way I could have run out of the show with this cake but it didn't stop me from wanting to - this cake's wow factor is through the roof. When Vicki told us that she had some new cakes we ought to see, I had no idea what to expect but I knew it was going to be great. There was also no way you could stop me from sampling her new flavors either. My favorite that day was the banana nut cake. It was light, just the right amount of sweet with the comforting finish of banana nut bread. SO good. She had other flavors on hand that day too like Mocha Frappucino, Caramel Butterscotch and White Chocolate Truffle.

Exquisite detailing
The cake on the left had frosting that looked like actual jewelry! From simple and classic to ornate and glamorous, you'll get a cake that looks as good as it will taste.
Enchanted Florist - EnchantedFloristTN.com
Caprice and the Enchanted Florist team weren't about to let the ugly lights in the convention hall take away from the beauty of their work. The "wows" and impressed gasps from the brides and attendees were apparent as people stopped to stare in wonder at the spectacular purple themed display. I also heard brides say "OH! That's what I want for my centerpiece!" and "Can I do that for my bouquet?" It was pretty awesome. When thinking of wedding flowers, you don't always realize what the florists are capable of doing beyond bouquets so it's always fantastic to see what Enchanted Florist comes up with.

The crinkly, silver linens actually softened the entire look of the table. The entire display was glamorously romantic.
Crave - CraveCateringEvents.com
Crave looks to be another creative company capable of providing more than just one basic service. Their booth really stood out among the other brightly colored booths with their sleek black and white color scheme with the shock of bright pink. I liked their modern touches like the more angular wine glasses and the very glamorous glossy black chiavari chairs and they matched the look of the decor with how they served their food samples which gave me the impression that they think of the big picture for an event and don't just focus on one singular aspect.
We'll have more of my favorites and pictures from the show of more cakes, more venues and vendors tomorrow so be sure to check back. If you would like to see our bridal show gallery, you can view it on our ABG Facebook Page.
