Summer means sizzling afternoons, blockbuster movies and SALES! Wedding gown sample sales and bridal trunk shows to be precise, from three of our wonderful local bridal boutiques. If you've been on the hunt for some great bargains on quality wedding gowns, this is your opportunity to find that dream dress. Those of us shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding also have options from the bridesmaids lines that the stores carry because there's a chance you'll be able to find the perfect cocktail dress. Something for everybody!

b.Hughes Bridal is hosting a designer, bridal sample sale at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 24th, on select wedding gowns to make room for the Spring 2012 collections that will be in the store in the fall. Expect up to 70% in mark-downs on spectacular gowns. Designers include Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mischka, Romona Keveza and Reem Acra. They will also be selling some samples of their bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride lines. The sample sale is first come first served so set your alarm clocks! The lovely ladies of The White Room are slashing prices on their sample gowns from both the Murfreesboro and Lebanon locations. The Pronovias sample gown pictured has been marked down to $800 and retails at $1539. The Stephen Yearick sample gown is now $900 (retail $3,490). Sizes range from 4 - 26 with prices starting at $49 for bridal and reception gowns. The White Room carries gowns by Blue by Enzoani, Maggie Sottero, Pronovias, Mori Lee Blu just to name a few. The White Room is offering 10% off any ENZOANI Blue dress purchased during the show. The Bride Room has sample gowns for sale from designers Amsale, Watters & Watters, Monique Lhuillier, Melissa Sweet, Vineyard Collection and Priscilla of Boston (just to name a few). Because it is an ongoing Sample Sale, be sure to make an appointment to try the various gowns on. They continue to add dresses to their list so for the most updated availability keep checking their blog or give them a call. Here are two of my favorites from Monique Lhuillier (left) and Watters & Watters (right).
