Our Favorites: Bright, Bold Inspiration for Your Wedding Color Palette

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

We're seeing color palettes take on a new life.  In the fall and winter we saw lots of pastels, very vintage inspired and muted colors that are so sexy and so pretty.  Now we seem to be moving into the bolder, brighter palettes that are super colorful and gorgeously rich. Here are a few real weddings and inspiration boards put together by some of ABG's wedding professionals.

Purple & Lime Green

While perusing the Brocade Designs blog recently, I honestly wasn't quite sure how a this color palette would look but trust Hillary Robson's genius to be able to create floral arrangements and bouquets that are stunning, to say the least.  Each of these colors, on their own seem a little much but when put together in small "portions" if you will they look fantastic.

Red & Teal

Cedarwood Weddings recently featured a pretty outdoor wedding where the bride and groom's colors of choice were a bold red and teal blue combo.  I love that they chose such a cool combination and it honestly isn't one I would have thought to put together but it does work!

Turqoise & Yellow

We're really loving this wedding captured by Kristyn Hogan, lifestyle photographer.  These colors are happy and fun and photograph extremely well!

Blogging is something I’ve enjoyed doing for years. My interests lie mostly in lifestyle related topics like fashion, style, design, food and weddings. When I heard Ashley was looking to bring on new members to the ABG team, I jumped at the opportunity - I can’t think of a better way to stay involved in weddings than to write about them and to stay in touch with the trends and new ideas. Lucky for me, Ashley likes my blog and trusts my experience to bring me on and so far, it’s been a blast.
