Help Others: Donate Your Wedding Gown, Bridesmaid Dress to Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee
Friday, December 20, 2013
On March 15, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee will host its 5th annual Wedding Gala, an event that not only helps Nashville brides who are planning their weddings with tight budgets but also those who just want to get their dream dress for less. The proceeds from the gala help thousands of people that benefit from Goodwill’s mission. They are currently accepting pre-owned gowns to make available for 2014 brides.
I'm cleaning out my closet this weekend to make my year-end donation to Goodwill. If your wedding gown is still in your closet, why not donate it to Goodwill and help another bride as well as hundreds of Nashvillians in need? Allowing your dress to be worn again helps the Nashville community and the environment.

How gorgeous is this wedding gown? This beautiful dress was donated by folks right here in Middle TN and made available at the 2013 Wedding Gala.

How to donate your gown?
For months you've planned to sell your wedding dress. Instead, take it out of the closet, get it cleaned and call Goodwill. You can also donate your accessories: bridal sashes, jewelry, hair accessories and shoes. They are accepting donations of bridal attire at their corporate office located at 1000 Herman Street in Nashville or call 615-346-1601 to schedule a pick up.
While you're at it, text your bridesmaids and encourage them to do the same. As much as you’d like to think they will wear their dresses again, they probably won’t.
Make room in your closet for your fabulous New Years Eve frock and ring in 2014 with one less thing on your to do list.
