Want $20k for Your Dream Wedding? TV Series “Don’t Tell the Bride” is Looking for You!

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

Is your wedding budget less than $20K? Are you recently engaged and willing to wed this December? Are you willing to share your wedding planning with a national TV audience? If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you need to be apply to be apart of "Don't Tell the Bride", a reality wedding show that follows a groom planning a wedding for his bride.

I saw the show when it aired on OWN last year. (Note - new shows will air on USA Network.) It was very entertaining to watch. If I were engaged, I'd love to be on the show. How much fun would it be for someone to pay for and plan your wedding?! If you agree, contact Rebecca, casting producer, by Monday with your questions or application.

(Planners, wedding pros, bloggers - please spread the word.)

One of my first questions when Rebecca, casting producer, called me was "is the wedding a surprise for the bride?" No, it's not! The bride is fully aware that the wedding is taking place. She just doesn't have any wedding details! He chooses the bridal gown, the bridesmaids dresses, invitations, food, everything! You can apply for the show together (aka - help him get you a free wedding!).

Here are casting details:

Shed Media US and USA Network are casting dynamic couples who are currently engaged, but lack the funds to have a dream wedding. Each episode focuses on one couple's big day and what it takes to make the wedding happen. The bride and groom agree to avoid all communication with each other for two weeks before the ceremony. In exchange, the groom is given $20,000 to plan the entire wedding without the bride's input. Have no fear; each groom ultimately creates a unique wedding to celebrate his true love and a chance to show his bride what he's made of!

CASTING REQUIREMENTS: - Must be over 18 years of age - U.S. residents - Currently engaged - Willing and able to get legally married in December 2012. - Have a few groomsmen and bridesmaids with big personalities willing to be on the show with you - No long distance or destination weddings. You must be willing to marry within driving distance of couple’s residence(s).
