Free Bridal Gowns for Military Brides in Middle Tennessee, July 15th and 16th!

Monday, July 11, 2011

Glitz Bridal in Bellevue, TN has partnered with Brides Across America to offer free wedding gowns to military brides in the Middle Tennessee area this weekend only.  We love their generosity and want to support their effort by spreading the word so that all military brides can get the designer gown of their dreams for FREE.

When I spoke with Ashley of Glitz Bridal on Friday, she mentioned that many military brides can hardly believe how easy it is to get a free wedding gown. There is no catch, just great people coming together to honor those who serve our country. If you are a military bride, contact Glitz Bridal today (615-646-9964) to make your appointment.

Not a military bride?  You can still help by spreading the word.  Bloggers, wedding pros (especially Clarksville, TN bloggers that reach readers in the Fort Campbell) - please repost this blog or share it on Facebook or Twitter.

Official Press Release: Brides Across America is BACK! Military brides come join us on July 15th & 16th to get your gown!

From Camouglage to Wedding Gowns, Brides Across America and Glitz Bridal & Formal Make Dreams Come True By Honoring Military Brides-to-Be!

On July 15 and 16th, Glitz Bridal & Formal will team up with the national charitable organization Brides Across America by donating couture wedding gowns to military brides. In celebration of Independence Day, Glitz Bridal & Formal will honor military brides and say thank you to our troops by giving away designer wedding gowns. Some of the designers donating gowns are from Jim Hjelm, Watters and Watters, Maggie Sottero, Pronovias, Lazaro, and other prominent designers.

The event will take place at Glitz Bridal & Formal, located at 241 Old Hickory Blvd., Nashville, Tennessee. Brides will be serviced on a first-come, first-serve basis. Brides are encouraged to come early and secure their place in line, as there is a limited supply. The gowns to be donated are valued between $500 and $4,000 and range from sizes 4-20.

In order to qualify, brides or their fiancé must be on active duty in the military, either currently deployed or deployed within the last five years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Libya or Japan. Identification and deployment papers must be presented at the event to qualify.

Glitz Bridal & Formal joins bridal salons across the country in this nationwide event to show their support for our troops. These important events coordinated through Brides Across America make it possible for military brides, who would unlikely otherwise have the opportunity, to wear designer wedding gowns on their big day.

For military brides who are interested in more information, contact Glitz Bridal & Formal at 615-646-9964 or visit glitzbridal.com.

About Brides Across America
Brides Across America, a Massachusetts based charitable organization focuses on providing free wedding gowns to those military brides that have not been able to have their dream wedding. Brides Across America is connecting with bridal salons across the nation to help spread the military spirit. Since 2007, Brides Across America and its partners have given away more than 6,000 wedding gowns nationwide.

Without organizations like Brides Across America, many military brides would not have the chance to have a wedding. Due to deployment, timing and economic circumstances many military brides get cheated out of having there dream wedding. Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America, makes that dream into a reality and all for free! “It’s time we give back, but most of all say thank you!", states Heidi. Hi Kendra - I believe you would still be able to get a dress.  Brides Across America’s website says “You must be engaged, or had a civil ceremony and planning a wedding within the next 18 months.”  You should qualify based on that.  Contact Glitz Bridal to make your appointment and see what paperwork is needed.  Good luck finding your dress!
