A Guide To Food Trucks for Nashville Weddings: Pizza, Quesdillas, Brisket and Wraps
Thursday, November 3, 2011
Welcome to the second installment of our list of food trucks for weddings. I hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoyed putting it together; it certainly is making me really hungry. Ashley and I are both curious and eager to see how food trucks fair with weddings and how the creative and unique couples in Nashville incorporate them into their special event. I personally envision food trucks to be great for the less traditional bride and groom and more for the ones who are keeping their weddings light and fun for all. Without further ado, here is the rest of our list!

Not just burgers, "loaded" and "gourmet" burgers to boot. According to their site, Hoss Loaded Burgers takes 1/3 pound of meat and stuffs it with cheese, tops it off with fresh veggies, homemade sauces and spices. The beef is 100% local so it's definitely eco-friendly for you localvores. Don't fret about the meat thing either because for your vegetarian and even vegan guests, Hoss will make veggie/vegan versions of all their burgers to please everyone!

With years of food truck experience under his belt, Chef Yayo Jiminez knows a thing or two about running a mobile business. The OMG stands for Original Mexican Gourmet, as well as what a lot of people say after biting into one of their tacos. Menu items include tacos like the Azada, a skirt steak with special seasoning or have their M&M (Mexican Melt) quesadilla that comes with a choice of chicken or steak, drizzled with Chihuahua cheese and crema fresca. They also offer sweets and desserts like a traditional Mexican flan or a Mexican crepe.

Terra Delicious's Lady Bug would make such a fun focal point at your wedding. This wagon specializes in sustainable and organic event catering using local ingredients as much as possible. Staple menu items include the Garden Grill (a cheesy melt with grilled veggies), Spicy Tuna Pita, Grilled Chicken Grill, and Hot Ham and Cheese. This would be a great complement to another truck - like one that serves sweets or dessert!

Love Shack

Minimum: contact for details
The Love Shack is a little ol' bus.. just kidding, I couldn't help myself. It's really a big ol' bus that serves burgers and brisket sandwiches with fries on the side and even dessert. Decked out in 70's style colors, they even have a girl in go-go boots taking your order while you're in line. Feedback from people who've had their food is that it all tastes fantastic. Want to finish your "Shack Attack" meal on a sweet note? The Creme Brulee Donuts are, from what I've been told, a must-eat.
Pizza Buds

Minimum: $50 for smaller events or a minimum of 50 people
This would be the perfect truck for a more casual, eclectic wedding, or to have after dinner has ended and the wedding reception is still going strong. What better way to keep your guests happy and energized than to have the best late-night snack at their disposal? Pizza Buds has the classic pizza toppings like pepperoni, cheese and veggie but will also make special pizzas upon request.

If their food is as good as their sense of humor and love for hip hop, then we've got something pretty cool in store for us when Wrapper's Delight hits the street with their "Major Flavor." With items like the Biggie Smalls Breakfast and the Big Punisher dessert we hope your guests come hungry because they'll probably leave happy.
