Nashville Bride Falls in Love with Her Simple, Elegant Four-Flavor, Four-Tier Signature Cake

Taylor and Rich got married on August 8 at Mint Springs Farm, which Taylor describes as "the most classy barn venue I have ever seen!" Their wedding vision was classy, simple and full of their white, green and blue color palette.
Taylor LOVED her wedding cake. She said, "It was exactly the vision I had been planning all along. Then, for the reception I walked into the reception and the cake was everything I wanted and more. I was absolutely in love with it!"
After hearing how much she loved her cake, designed by Signature Cakes by Vicki, I couldn't wait to share her cake story and photos with you.
What inspired your cake?
Simplistic, classy, white, with blue hydrangeas. I love simple flowers and I love nature so I wanted lots of blue, white and green.
I am in love with the color blue, and I love simple, classy flowers—they are truly my favorite. I have never been a girly girl, but I do love my desserts—especially cake!
How did you approach the design for your wedding cake?
I had a vision for the flowers to wrap down my cake with an elegant white, fluffy buttercream frosting. We met with Vicki and she drew a picture of what I was describing to her. She sketched out the cake right there and it was amazing. Not only is she an amazing baker, she is an amazing artist!
What did you want most from your cake - great design, taste, specific details?
All three! And let me tell you, her cake is the BEST tasting cake I have ever had. Every flavor is amazing! The design is perfect and she does exactly what you want.
What surprised you about the experience of designing your cake?
How fun, easy and stress free it was!
What were your cake flavors?
When we went for the cake tasting my mom, sister, and my fiancé came and we had so much fun! We loved every flavor and it was so hard to decide. So, we chose a different flavor for each layer. We chose four flavors: Raspberry, Almond Vanilla, Coconut Vanilla, and Key Lime Margarita (that was my husband's favorite!).
What did you like most about your wedding cake?
The moist cake and the fluffy buttercream frosting.
