Happy Birthday Tabitha + Hillary!!!
Two of my favorite women in Nashville weddings - Tabitha (our lead blogger) and Hillary (of Brocade Designs) are celebrating birthdays!!! Tabitha's birthday is today and Hillary's is tomorrow. So please reach out to them on Facebook and Twitter and wish them a very special week. I adore them both and am so blessed to have them in my life.
Engagement Photo Contest - Finalist and Editor's Favorite
In April, we asked our engaged Facebook fans to share their engagement photos with us! We received numerous entries and while those with the most votes were the clear winners (per the contest) there were other entries that we also liked and wanted to share. So this entire week, we're excited to share the top finalists to give you inspiration, ideas and to remind you that you are not alone! Couples all over the city are enjoying and stressing over their engagement:).
First up - Tannis and Zach whose engagement photos were captured by Twine and Twig, a photographer who was new to me before the contest but whose work is incredible! I think their engagement photographs capture a sophisticated sweetness and give us an unobtrusive peak into their lives, which I appreciate.
I hope you enjoy their photos and story as much as I did.

Tannis Davies + Zach Weaver
engagement date ~ December 17, 2010
wed date ~ January 7, 2012
Tell me about your proposal:
It's actually a kind of funny story. Zach and I were planning on going to Ice in Nashville, but that night I changed my mind so we decided to go to Christmas on the Cumberland here in Clarksville. Well I "rushed" Zach out of the truck (or so I later found out) so he didn’t have a chance to grab the ring. So I suppose I foiled two of his plans to propose that night. So after we walked around we decided to go home and watch a movie in the living room. Well at one point I had to use the restroom and when I was walking out I noticed our bedroom door was cracked and the light was on. When I opened it the rest of the way Zach was down on one knee. He asked me to marry him and I said yes :]. Oh and by the way, we were in our pjs.

Who have you hired for your wedding team:
Wedding venue I A Country Chapel in Adams, TN. Not sure about the reception site yet.
Photography I Krista Albright of Twine and Twig
I'm currently working on everything else.

What's your wedding style?
Is eclectic a style? I want a cozy feel to our wedding. Zach and I are a very down-to-earth and want our wedding to be that way. But I'm drawing information from everywhere. I have to vintage aspects but I still want it to feel classy. It is really hard for me to put a label on the wedding style that I tend to be leaning towards with the details I am trying.
What's your wedding budget? $8,000
Would you like to share anything else about your wedding plans?
I am beyond excited to get married to Zach. He is my soulmate. We are so grateful to get a chance to be featured on Ashley’s Bride Guide. Also, Krista is such a great photographer! She really deserves this chance to share her photography skills with a larger audience. She works so hard to capture who you are and your love for one another.
