Wed 101: Specialty Lighting is A MUST For Your Wedding

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

The ABG team recently attended an Open House by Nashville Event Lighting to learn more about their complete offering. From lighting and gobos (lighted designs projected on floors, walls) to decor rentals like lanterns, they need to help you make your wedding dreams come to life.  We learned a lot and saw some wedding goodies we know you'll enjoy.

Trust me - specialty lighting will make a HUGE difference in your wedding.  Everything pops and looks better with custom lighting.  Ask any wedding expert and they will stress its importance and how it will positively impact your photos, ambiance, video, mood, and overall wedding details.  Here is a tip - ALL of the events you see on your favorite wedding blogs, tv and magazines use lighting.

If you are a Nashville bride, be sure to consult with Nashville Event Lighting on ways to make your wedding even more amazing.  If you are a wedding pro, you already know the importance of lighting but you can attend their upcoming planner's guide to lighting in January.

ABG Party Recap - Nashville Event Lighting First Annual Open House

From the outside it looked like an ordinary warehouse, except this evening it had a red carpet and a person holding the door open.  Stepping inside we knew we'd be in for a visual treat because even the front lobby was lit to showcase the company's personality as one that's not just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill lighting company. Nashville Event Lighting is a creative specialty lighting company with a team that's hardworking and there to make sure your event looks wonderful.

They took their warehouse space (that is used for storage and for demonstrating event lighting for brides) into a glitzy party area showcasing their latest and favorite lighting trends like Gobo's, lighting that changes color, chandeliers and lanterns.  My favorite were the gobos, hands down. You can get really creative with those and personalize them to use on dance floors, walls or any surface that will allow it.

The evening was topped off by a visit by Maples Cakes who baked a special cake just for Nashville Event Lighting.

It really was great to see how much they've grown and it's all because they're really good at what they do. As if that weren't enough, Nashville Event Lighting is inviting event planners and coordinators to a workshop in January to educate them on the fundamentals of good lighting.  This is going to benefit you, the bride, because the more skillful your planner, the easier it's going to be for them to help you create your wedding vision!

If you have any lighting questions, any creative ideas, please don't hesitate to give Abi and the team at Nashville Event Lighting a call to visit the warehouse and see the numerous lighting options they offer. They're also available to do a small set up of your event so you can better see how everything looks.  Visit them online at the Nashville Event Lighting website.
