Bridal Events This Week: Free Gowns for Military Brides + Food that Delights for Engaged Couples
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
This weekend, there are two events for Nashville brides:
Event 1: Beyond Details is hosting a tasting for couples seeking a caterer for their Nashville-area wedding. If you have not yet hired a caterer, contact Brandy to schedule your personal tasting. I really like their food and am sure that you will too. If you are not local or available this weekend, go ahead and contact Brandy and schedule a time that works for you.

Event 2: Brides Across America returns, offering free gowns for military brides! Here's the official press release:
GLITZ BRIDAL HOSTS 5TH BRIDES ACROSS AMERICA EVENT TO SUPPORT DEPLOYED TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES: Military Brides, Join Us June 28th and 29th to Claim Your Free Gown!
Nashville’s premiere bridal and formal boutique, Glitz Bridal and Formal Salon, is teaming up with national charity Brides Across America to make military brides’ dreams come true. This is the 5th time in three years Glitz Bridal is hosting the event.
On June 28th and 29th, Glitz Bridal plans to give away at least 50 bridal gowns to military wives-to-be. The dresses are donations both from past brides as well as from designers like Maggie Sottero and Allure. The donated gowns are valued between $500 and $3,000 and range from sizes 4-22.
Ann Miller, the owner of Glitz Bridal, began working with the Brides Across America because she has a stepson who’s been deployed to Afghanistan twice. “We are very happy to be able to give back to the military because the families go through so much while our men and women are deployed,” Miller said. In addition, Glitz Bridal offers a 10% discount to military brides year-round. Brides Across America gives away hundreds of dresses twice a year to military brides across the country. To qualify, brides must bring a copy of their own or their fiancé’s deployment papers with them to the event. No appointments are necessary, and gowns are to be given away on a “first come, first served” basis. For full details, please visit Brides Across America’s website at www.bridesacrossamerica.com or contact Glitz Bridal and Formal Salon by visiting their website at www.glitzbridal.com.
