A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of featuring Christy and Matt's Nashville wedding.
Hillary of Brocade Design Arts was the event floral designer and below she shares more on the event, from a design perspective. Below, she shares her pics from the event and a behind the scenes look at how it was made fab.
Guest Blogger: Brocade Design Arts is a Nashville-based, event floral designer. In July, I worked with Christy & Matt on their beautiful wedding. Ashley's post a few weeks ago featured the brilliant photography of Shana Mahoney Photography. Today, I am going to feature some of the behind the scene shots that I have from the wedding. I love this color combination: black, white, & little "pops" of tiffany blue. I designed their invitations, programs, place cards, and all of their church & reception decor to coordinate with their theme. Here's a shot of the programs designed by brocade that we nestled into white baskets and at the front of the church:
I love this altar flower centerpiece: Ivory hydrangea, white asiatic lilies, vendela roses, dendrobium orchids, and open white calla lilies looked breathtaking at the front of the church in silver trumpet vases.
Here you can see the effect of both of the altar arrangements
Me, from behind, writing out some place cards. You can see the black entry curtain we made for the bride and groom's guests to walk through. I absolutely love working with the Cannery Ballroom on any event-- the vibe in there is super cool, and Telisha, the event coordinator, is absolutely awesome to work with!
A long shot of the head table. Tiffany blue linens from Connie Duglin Linens, and square vases filled with full ivory hydrangea and roses. Frosted glass votives complete the look of the long, linear table that the bridal party occupied
The favors were lindt truffles encased in darling blue tiffany boxes. Each guest table was in black linens. The tiffany blue served as pops of delightful color
Nashville Event Lighting did the can lights with tiffany blue gels all along the walls, which made for a fantastic reception area
I just love this shot of the cake taken by Donald Yeager Photography, cake by The Sweetest Day-- it was beautiful and delicious
Gorgeous toasting glasses were tied with coordinating tiffany blue ribbon. We placed the cake center stage at the Cannery for maximum impact
Another look at the white rose and hydrangea centerpiece. This was a shot of the gift table
It was a beautiful wedding at the Cannery-- and we had a great time sharing in Christy & Matt's joy. The cannery is an a amazing venue to work in: it's versatile, and the team led by Telisha is fantastic.
