Thursday, January 6, 2011
Last week, we shared great outdoor wedding venues located near downtown Nashville. Today, we're back to share some great outdoor venues for brides seeking a different area of town - a bit more secluded.
1} Cedarwood

Cedarwood is a picturesque 1830's antebellum farm estate with historic home, vintage barn, rolling meadows, flower gardens and fresh natural spaces. Specializing in one-stop, customized, all-inclusive designer wedding packages for up to 200 guests. Cedarwood is the chic side of county!

2} Front Porch Farms
Contact: Kathy Best
Website: FrontPorchFarmsTN.com
Front Porch Farms makes a scenic backdrop to your wedding. The farm feel is more country chic than it is farm-like, everything is rustic without being too shabby. They have on-site accommodations as well so that adds to your convenience. We've seen some beautiful weddings at Front Porch, and we can't wait to see more. For a limited time, Front Porch Farms is including a 40x100 tent and tables & chairs (up to 100 guests) with your booking. ABG Brides will receive free overnight accommodations with our already value-packed packages.

3) Southall Eden
Contact: Terri-Ann Nicholls/ Shannon O'Kelley
Telephone: 615.775.4080
Website: SouthallEden.com
Southall Eden is the cutest barn with a loft perfect for your ceremony and wide open spaces to set up however you so choose. This Franlin venue sits on a five acre farm surrounded by rolling hills and the gorgeous Tennessee countryside in Franklin. Even though it's in the middle of the country, it's a really elegant location that you will love. You can check out the spotlight we featured on them here as well as our recap of our visit to their open house (a treat for Anthropologie fans like me!). For a limited time, ABG Brides will also receive FREE custom printed Save the Dates when you book your farm wedding at Southall Eden within 7 days of your initial visit.

4} Cajun Lake Lodge
Contact: Paula Eleazar Johansen
Telephone: 615.499.2394
Website: CajunLakeLodge.com
After a scenic drive out west of Nashville, you arrive at Cajun Lake Lodge where you will be able to kick back, relax and just have a wonderful time. Prep for the day in their cozy, fully functional cabin, chill by the pool or even grill out, then on the big day say "I do" by the lake and put on your dancing shoes for your reception in the Le Bonton Pavillion. Cajun Lake Lodge is your own private ourdoor venue (they book only one wedding per weekend) that also serves as a mini-destination and getaway for you and your guests!

5} Historic Carnton Plantation (Twitter community favorite!)
Contact: Leigh Bawcom
Telephone: 615.794.0903
Website: Carton.org
Pictures from weddings I've seen at Carnton Plantation are usually quite beautiful. Ceremonies take place on a one-acre 1847 restored garden, they have Greek revival style porches on the main house as well and you can choose to have your reception ither outdoors in the garden or inside at the Fleming Center.

6} Belle Meade Plantation (Twitter community favorite!)
Website: BelleMeadePlantation.com
Contact: email to [email protected]
One of the more popular wedding venues in Nashville, Belle Meade Plantation's historical value and feel make this the quintessential outdoor location for the Nashville bride. Several wedding packages that cover usage of either the boxwood garden or the carriage house or both with options for shorter or longer time frames. The carriage house can be decorated to the max or kept simple and rustic. The gardens already come surrounded by beautiful flowers so it requires minimal arrangements unless you're a huge fan of flowers. Some brides with larger weddings also opt to tent the rear of the carriage house to accommodate their guests.

7} Riverwood Mansion
Telephone: 615.228.1645
Website: RiverwoodMansion.com
This being the South, there isn't a shortage of gorgeous antebellum mansions at which you can celebrate your wedding. They're such charming structures that give it a romantic feel without having to put forth too much effort.

8) Cheekwood (Twitter community favorite!)
Telephone: 615.356.8000
Website: Cheekwood.org
Take your pick of locations within the already lovely Cheekwood Botanical Gardens for your wedding day. There's a Japanese garden, a reflection pool, a garden by the mansion that you can tent for either ceremony or reception - isn't it great to have options? Each option is as pretty as the next and this is a perfect place for you if you're a bride who loves flora. Definitely one of the more popular venues for weddings in Nashville for its historic value and just how naturally beautiful the grounds are.
