Destination Nashville Bride Turns to Brocade Designs for Hometown Stationery Suite and Paper Goods
Thursday, August 29, 2013
If you’re a destination Nashville bride, with Music City roots, then this adorable stationery suite created by Hillary Yeager of Brocade Designs will warm your hometown heart, just as much as it did mine.
Bride Amy, whose wedding we featured earlier this month, grew up in Clarksville, but has spent the last 20 years in Los Angeles. She and husband Chris knew they wanted to have a Nashville wedding and wanted to keep it simple, sweet and Southern.
Amy wanted invitations and save the dates with a Hatch Show Print style. She felt that this was very Nashville and loved the look of it.
After scouring Etsy and Minted and not being completely satisfied with what she saw, Amy found an invitation that Hillary had created featuring the Nashville skyline. Upon seeing the invitation, Amy contacted Hillary right away and inquired about ordering save the dates with similar art.
When I asked Amy what attracted her to this design for her save the dates, she replied, “since so many who were going to be invited to the wedding were coming from out of town, I thought it was perfect to have that Nashville skyline there.”
Amy loved working with Hillary, from start to finish. She gave Hillary general ideas of what she had in mind, showing her a few sample images from Minted and Etsy which contained bits and pieces of what she liked, but nothing of entirety, and Hillary took these ideas and ran with them.
Hillary worked with Amy to incorporate her wedding accent colors, gray and light green, into her stationery suite.
Amy’s paper goods included:
Save the dates
The invitation suite, including an information card and RSVP postcards
Envelope labels
“Cute and Quirky program fans,” as Amy called them
Reception table assignments
Framed favor signage and favor tags
Menu information
A matted save the date for guests to sign
Amy sends a “MAJOR” thanks to Hillary at Brocade. She said that what Hillary created exceeded her expectations, “It’s like she reached in my head and pulled out what I didn’t know that I wanted. It was amazing what she did.”
