Hot. Hot. Hot! Street Tuxedo Offers New Slate Blue Tuxedo For Grooms This Year

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

These days, it’s not just the brides who like variety and say-so in what they wear on their wedding day. So, modern grooms, here’s some news you’ll love: slate blue, a mix of navy and gray, is very in this year in terms of tuxedos and one of our local tuxedo shops is offering these tuxes for rent at an affordable price!

Locally owned, Street Tuxedo, with locations in Cool Springs, Berry Hill, Green Hills and Murfreesboro, has done its research. Based on some of the top trends in men’s fashion, slate blue is very popular this weddings season.

“Navy has held on pretty strong throughout the years, but many think it’s too close to black,” said Dick Thompson, director of operations at Street Tuxedo. “We feel like this will be a nice alternative.”

The tuxedo, offered through the Allure Mens Collection, is wool and has slim-fit pants and a notched lapel. And here’s the great part: In comparison to some of the pricier tuxedos of its kind, this one is about $40 cheaper, perfect for the budget-conscious.

“We anticipate that this may be our number one tuxedo this coming year because of the combination of modern fit and price,” Dick said.  It's as versatile as other tuxedo options, can be easily paired with a range of accessories and can be dressed up, or down.

Interested? We thought so. Head on over to StreetTuxedo.com to check out this new Allure tuxedo and other styles. Tell them the crew at Ashley’s Bride Guide sent you!

For many women, their fascination with weddings fades after they say, “I do.” Not for me. Even though my wedding was two years ago, I still very much have a heart for weddings and helping brides focus on what’s important — building a day that reflects both the bride and the groom while focusing on the why of the wedding — the marriage. In addition to my job as a personal trainer and wellness coach, I also coordinate weddings part time, offering couples both perspective and a little elbow grease to make sure their wedding day is a success. I’m a huge advocate for life balance and I like to remind and encourage couples to keep their sanity — and a healthy relationship — in the midst of wedding planning.
