Whether your wedding dress continues to hang in a very visible spot in your home as a monument to your wedding day or it’s stashed in your closet taking up a lot of space, it’s likely you’ve wondered a time or two what you should do with your dress post-wedding.
Here’s the thing: You have options. Here are three:
1) Preserve it. If you want to keep your wedding dress as an heirloom or pass it down to your daughter one day, it’s best to give it a little TLC. This means having it cleaned, pressed, and preserved by professionals who specialize in gown care, such as Oakwood Cleaners on White Bridge Road.

2) Sell it or gift it. If you no longer want to keep your dress, there’s the option of giving it away to a friend or someone who needs a wedding dress, or selling it online.
Don't plan to hang on to your gown? Click here to learn more about how to properly buy or sell a pre-owned wedding dress or check out preownedweddingdresses.com or fabulousfrocksbridal.com/nashville.
3) Convert it. For some brides, getting one wear out of their wedding dress is not enough. If you’re that type, you can have your wedding dress cleaned and converted into an everyday wear piece, from a bustier to a tea-length, less formal dress, giving new life to the gown you love so much.
We heard the cutest story from Oakwood Cleaners. A grandma opted to have her wedding gown cleaned and then converted it into small pieces to give as keepsakes to her children. Love that!
What will you do with your wedding dress after your wedding? We’re curious to hear! Write your responses in the comment section below.

There’s a new trend in table dressings and we like where it’s going: neutral linens! These days, brides are opting for neutral tones in varied shades of white and beige instead of bold colors on their reception tables.
With a white or beige canvas, brides are able to express their styles more freely with bold pops of color in floral arrangements and centerpieces. Check out some of these neutral linens at Liberty Party Rental:
Poly linen
The poly linen can be rented at an economical price point in shades of ivory, beige, and camel. These colors are neutral without being basic.

Majestic linen
The majestic linen is a bit more luxurious, a bit more expensive, but still a value. It's reversible, with one side shiny, the other matte. Shades available are ivory, beige, camel, and khaki.

Just because you have a budget or moderate budget, there are ways to splurge. One of the best ways to do so is to add statement pieces. The right statement pieces will easlly earn you those “Wow! I love that!” comments from your wedding guests and help you achieve the design you desire.
Liberty Party Rental offers great splurge items that give you the wow factor you’re looking for but won’t leave you wondering how you will feed your guests. Here are a few of our favorites:
Farm bench
Brides can pair this rustic bench with an 8-foot rectangle table for the reception or use them for ceremony seating. Each bench seats four.
Candelabras
Lighting can do a lot for the space so these candelabras add a classic touch to any backdrop.
Beverage servers
Doll up your drink station with these beverage servers, perfect for both ice tea and cocktails. These servers come in mason jar, ribbed, glass and acrylic styles.
Fruitwood folding chairs and Tuscan Bentwood chairs
Instead of opting for whatever chairs the venue has, consider an upgrade to the Fruitwood folding chairs. And if you’ve got a bit more in your budget for seating, the Tuscan Bentwood chairs are also a nice touch.

Whiskey barrels
Any country-lovin’ brides out there? Well, you’ll love these whiskey barrels that are great accent pieces and that can be used as cocktail tables.
Faux wood chargers
Give your tables a vintage, rustic pop with these chargers.

As the cold season makes its presence felt across the nation with frosty temps and snow, it’s nice to take a mental break to think about warmer places like honeymoon destinations!
If you’re still ironing out the details of where you’d like to go on your honeymoon, we'd like to introduce a resort that our honeymoon expert recommends: Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas. Carlie of 2 Travel Anywhere has the scoop on the beachside resort:
Where is it located?
The resort is located in Great Exuma, Bahamas. It’s not your typical Bahamas island — it’s very remote and exotic, a peaceful, quiet island away from everything.
Tell us a little bit about the island where the resort is located.
Great Exuma is a tropical paradise. Only 45 minutes from Miami, it has some of the most clearest waters in the world. The Exumas draw those wanting to escape from everyday life for those seeking outdoor pursuits, including boating, sport fishing, scuba diving, golfing, snorkeling and year-round perfect temperatures.
What do you love about this resort?
Everything! Brides can enjoy three dazzling pools each just steps from the ocean. The evenings are filled with firepits, sounds of the ocean waves, and live island music. If couples want a more romantic, intimate experience, they can enjoy a day at the beach or lounging near a quiet pool on one of the daybeds or in one of the cabanas. Wherever you decide to spend your day, this resort offers endless bliss.
This resort is for…
...couples who want to relax, but who want the option of doing something fun. The beach has walking paths perfect for those who want to go for a morning jog. Couples can also arrange to have a romantic dinner or picnic for two on a private island (boat transfer for this costs extra). And if the groom loves golf, they have a amazing course on site. The oceanfront villa butler suites are also a big hit here — you can be pampered by a butler during your entire stay.
What are some features of the resort that will really appeal to couples?
On this island, one of the must-do things is swim with the pigs! Forget swimming with the dolphins — at Emerald Bay, they swim with pigs. I actually did it myself and it was as blast. Also water related, scuba diving and snorkeling are both free.
The food was also highlight during my recent trip to Emerald Bay. The lobster steak dinner was one of our favorite meals while at the resort. For couples who have gluten-free or other special diets, this resort will arrange a chef to meet with the couple upon arrival to discuss food options.
