About us:
Bride - Kelley of Hendersonville; Hendersonville High School
Groom - Baxter of Nashville; Creek Wood High School
Our wedding details: May 31st; 7:00 P.M.
Ceremony location - Vine Street Christian Church
Reception location - Vanderbilt University Club
Guests - 500
Wedding Style: My wedding style Classic, romantic, fun
My colors and why I choose them Dark purple and lavender. I chose the colors from my bridesmaids dresses. I never thought I would have purple at my wedding, but it turned out great.
Wedding wow factor The reception. It was so elegant, yet it was also a big party. Everyone had fun and the dance floor was packed all night.
Favors White chocolate bars with our names and wedding date on them in our colors. Personal touches My husband and his "brothers" all sang to me as they lavaliered me into their fraternity. Gift for bridesmaids & groomsmen The bridesmaids received picture frames and their jewelry for the wedding. The groomsmen received a silver flask and cigar holder combination with a cigar inside.
Most special moment for me Dancing with my husband at the reception and realizing how blessed we were to have so many people surrounding us that loved and supported us. It really is an overwhelming feeling of love on that night.
My Wedding Vendors: Planner: Helen Morisette Cake: Patty Cakes Caterer: Vanderbilt University Club Photographer: ACE Photography Bridal gown: David's Bridal Bridesmaid dresses: Bridal Warehouse Tuxes: Men's Warehouse Rings: Bride - Zales, Groom - Littman's Jewelers Music: DJ Bart Hanchey
How I found my vendors I found my cake vendor, photographer, and travel agent through the bridal convention in Nashville and my DJ was a friend of the family. Most of the other vendors were found by my mom and wedding planner. My favorite vendors Helen Morisette Patti Cakes Bart Hanchey My Wedding Rewind: What I would do differently if planning again? I would have waited longer before deciding on my dress. Best value for the service/product The cake. While she seems expensive, the quality of cake you are getting is worth it. She also make our favors and they ended up being about 50 cents a piece.
Best find My husband says me = ). I would say the Vanderbilt University club. It was large enough to hold all of our guests comfortably and was not unreasonably priced. Advice for other Nashville brides? Get the stuff that you are dreading the most out of the way first. Then all the planning after that will be fun and exciting. Don't pick your wedding dress out too early. Your taste can change and you don't want to be unhappy with your dress on the big day. Also, your size might change and you could end up spending even more on alterations. Know going into the planning process that there will be things that will go wrong, but there is nothing you can do about it so you should just have fun.
