I recently had the pleasure of attending an industry event at the newly established Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyards. Like most wine lovers in the area, I too have become a big fan of Arrington's wines, so I was very excited to check out its new property. As with the vineyard, this new venture did not disappoint! This scenic venue is like a blank canvas for an imaginative bride who wants to create a unique Tennessee wedding. The grounds offer several areas that make wonderful country settings for any wedding ceremony and/or reception. They can also be utilized for an engagement party or rehearsal dinner.
At Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyards, brides and grooms can customize the layout, color scheme and theme of their event. They can truly create a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects their personalities.
In my opinion, the combination of the property’s ties to Country Music royalty and the offering of delicious local wines, mixed with the picturesque surroundings, make for a perfectly ‘Nashville’ wedding.

Arrington Vineyards, the now well-known, Kix Brooks co-owned winery located just east of Franklin, has become a popular destination for gatherings, engagements, showers and other celebrations. It’s no secret that before the winery opened, few people in Middle TN knew that the small town of Arrington existed. The attraction drew local visitors and now most Nashvillians have traveled to the rolling hills and beautiful scenery that surround the vineyard. As its popularity grew, the winery became bombarded with requests for private event rentals. Unable to accommodate private weddings at the vineyard, the property next door was purchased and opened for business.
This extension of the vineyard possesses beautifully landscaped grounds filled with trees, grapevines and lilacs. While Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyards accommodates mostly outdoor weddings, it also features two recently renovated homes and a red rustic barn that can host up to 140 guests in the event of rain.
Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyards is uniquely positioned to offer a perfect countryside wedding with the charm (and wine!) of a vineyard setting. Since both the vineyard and new event property are owned and operated by the same group, Lilac Farms offers exclusive Arrington wine experiences such as private wine tastings for your guests. The award-winning Arrington wine is a perfect complement to any menu. As an added bonus, couples can elect to bring in liquor and beer from the purveyor of their choosing and even hire their own event caterers.
The farm provides a unique country backdrop while maintaining modern conveniences such as power, restrooms and parking for up to 200 vehicles. There are several large, flat areas within close proximity to the houses and barn that are ideal for tenting. Recently, 30 globe lights were added to the giant Bois d’arc tree located directly in front of the barn. Not only is this tree a gorgeous natural spot for any wedding ceremony but it can also be used as an incredible background for an outdoor reception.
