Posh Privy: Boutique Restroom Trailers Bring Luxury to Outdoor, Nashville Weddings

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Some people's warmth can be felt through the phone.  That was the case with Brandon of Posh Privy.  I reached out to him, somewhat randomly, to learn more about Posh Privy.  I knew that he offered restroom trailers but I gotta be honest, that's not super sexy or so I thought.  After speaking with Brandon, I've changed my mind.  The trailers that Brandon offers are sleek!  These aren't your dreaded outdoor potties.  Oh no!  They have come a long way.

Posh Privy prides itself on top notch, luxury restroom trailers stocked where no detail has been overlooked - from air conditioning and tvs to steel accents.  Think a modern, West Elm-esque restroom facility that just happens to be ultra-portable.  Brandon, as the owner, prides himself in unparelled customer service (which I certainly received each time I contacted him for info, pictures and more pictures).  And Posh Privy doesnt stop there, Brandon's mission is to provide the best in luxury, with wonderful service, all at a competitive price.  Now, that's how I like Nashville brides treated!

Quick Facts about Posh Privy:

~ There are 3 different types of trailers: The Petite, The Polished, The Plush.

~ All 3 trailer styles can be configured to meet the needs of your special event.

The Petite:

Distinct style with modern décor is a fitting description for this luxurious trailer. This unit features a men's and women's restroom that come fully equipped with foot pedal flush toilets, hardwood floors, floating vanity with vessel sinks, and AC/Heat. PoshPrivy's designer luxury restroom trailer will impress even the most discriminating taste.

Guests will be astounded with the upscale amenities found within- solid surface countertops, stainless steel sinks, metered faucets, hot and cold running water, AC/Heat, and a central stereo system.

The Plush

Introducing Nashville's most luxurious trailer... The Plush, a fusion of chic elegance and contemporary flair, features 2 private women's rooms and 1 room for men. Each restroom is beautifully styled with upscale amenities including floating vanities, vessel sinks, Corian countertops, central stereo music, ceramic tile floors and flat screen TV's.

Engaged couples and event planners can add an on-site attendant or even the Signature Package to any trailer that includes fresh flowers in each room, LED candles, personalized chalk board message, outdoor rugs, mints, etc.

Posh Privy launched in February of 2012.  Thanks to Nashville brides, grooms, venue owners and wedding planners,  requests for Posh Privy have exceeded all expectations.  These trailers are a wonderful alternative to long lines or lackluster, generic options.  And while the company is growing, Brandon remains committed to quality service and keeping the trailers modern, clean and refreshing for guests.

What a great product line and what a great guy!

Photo Booth Nashville: Great Guest Entertainment & Fun Memories to Take on Your Honeymoon!

Thursday, October 4, 2012

Imagine this...You've just had the biggest day of your life, are heading on your honeymoon but would love to take memories of your day along with you to enjoy with your new hubby. You know that it will be a few months before the incredible photographer that you hired is able to get you photos, so you are left with Facebook shots to tide you over.

After speaking with Amy of Photo Booth Nashville, I learned of another option - a professionally prepared photo album, created real-time at your wedding reception, of your photo booth photos. Obviously, you wouldn't rent a photo booth just for this custom photo album BUT if you are already considering a photo booth for your reception, this unque feature might help you make your decision.

(Where noted, photos by Joe Hendricks Photography; all others courtesy of Photo Booth Nashville.)

Here's how it works:

  • Lauren of Photo Booth Nashville, a professional scrapbooker, designs the look of your scrapbook ahead of time.
  • At your reception, your guests choose fun props.
  • Your guests step into the retro booth, take their fun photos.
  • Your Photo Booth Nashville attendant takes the guests' photo strip and assembles your guest book onsite to ensure completion and quality.
  • Your guests sign under your photo strip on a notecard, leaving you a message.
  • At the end of the night, you are given your complete photo album, filled with fun photos of your guests and their messages for you.

For many brides, their Photo Booth Nashville book replaces the traditional guest book. It's easy, instant, personal and entertaining. It also allows you to read your guests' sentiments on your wedding or new marriage. This memory book is one that you will cherish immediately after your wedding and for years to come, unlike the old school guest book which is simply signatures, no faces, words.

The photo booth is a great way to add fun to any wedding reception, with many brides saying it was the highlight of their wedding. Being able to instantly enjoy photos and notes of your guests at end of night is just a cherry on top!

Wedding Our Way: Musician Couple Celebrate Nashville, Say “I Do” at Midnight

Friday, August 3, 2012

We love following all Nashville vendors and finding unique weddings. Wedlock Images caught our eye when they posted photos from Kelly and Julia's wedding which captured the couple's nuptials at midnight. That's right, this couple, Kelly and Carl, said "I do" in the middle of the night! Now that's unique!

Love, love, love their first look!

Off to the beautiful, midnight ceremony...

According to Wedlock, Kelly heard that Julia Roberts married at midnight and the idea stayed with her until she was planning her own big day. Celebrating the city of Nashville was important to these two muscians and from just the few photos below, you can tell that their feat was accomplished. How cool that they got to relax, have their first look downtown in the daylight, and after the sun went down, say their vows?! What an extended day! They then got to sleep in and party with their guests at their reception the "next" day.

Enjoy!

Hatch Show Print Offers a Piece of Nashville History and Art for Your Wedding

Thursday, August 2, 2012

Sometimes, we don't realize how lucky we Nashvillians are! Couples from around the globe come to Nashville to take advantage of our Nashville wedding talent, landmarks, and unique services. A Nashville institution that is loved locally and beyond is Hatch Show Print.

A brief history

Hatch Show Print is one of the oldest letterpress printing companies in the country. They are known for their famous (southern style) posters that were commercially used to announce concerts and events, for folks like Dolly Parton and BB King. Their posters were so distinctly artful that that the printing company became a piece of Nashville and American history.

Hatch Show Print is a division of another Nashville institution that's also loved for weddings, the Country Music Hall of Fame (CMHF). And, while I've always recognized Hatch Show Print art, it wasn't until I spoke with Mary Ann and Lindsay of the CMHF that I gained a renewed appreciation for Hatch Show Print's history and elaborate design process.

As the daughter of a printer myself, I've always been somewhat familiar with printing and the role that Nashville has played in the printing industry, hence the presence of Printer's Alley. (If you aren't familiar, check out the fascinating history of Printers Alley.) Hatch Show Print, like Printer's Alley, has a well known history. And unlike most historical gems, it's still making history, serving as one of the oldest printing companies still in operation.

The turn-of-the-century process for designing a custom art piece:

According to their website... "Starting with customer copy, we design a look that captures the sensibilities of a band, magazine, or product brand, while working within the dimensions of the selected poster size and through the lens of Hatch history. Next, we turn to multiple drawers and shelves containing the letters and hand-carved images needed to complete the design. Then, we carry the entire design form to an available press, lock in, choose a color, and start cranking. Did we say color? If more than one is required, we have to decide which portion of the layout to print in which color. One hundred posters in three colors? That's three times through the press per poster, or three hundred runs altogether."

What Hatch Show Print offers for weddings

Hatch Show Print works with engaged couples to create one-of-a-kind art pieces that can be used for your save the date, wedding invitation, or wedding program. You can also opt for posters, which make great keepsakes for your bridal party or favors for your wedding guests.

Because the process is quite involved, they limit the number of commissions per year. If you are getting married at the Country Music Hall of Fame, you would work directly with your event coordinator, making it a bit easier to ensure space on that coveted list!

The rave reviews speak for themselves.

With one look at Yelp reviews, you can see the excitement created by Hatch Show Print.  Christi, a yelper, said this of her Hatch Show Print wedding artwork:

"When my husband and I got engaged, we knew only one thing about the wedding: We wanted Hatch to make the invitations! And we were absolutely thrilled with the results. We told the designer the colors we wanted, and gave her the copy, and from that she created exactly what we wanted but couldn't quite verbalize! We also had posters made directing folks to our wedding and reception sites, since both were a little hard to find. Then we used one of the posters and had it matted & framed so folks could sign it at the reception."

If you are looking for a piece of Nashville history, the Country Music Hall of Fame combined with a Hatch Show Print = a modern way to celebrate our rich, Nashville culture.

The Picture This Experience for Your Guests - Making Wedding Reception Fun as Easy as 1-2-3

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

Picture This Nashville is an easy way to add fun to your wedding reception. As a touch-screen photo booth kiosk, it doesn't require a lot of space but packs a good time for your older and younger guests. Because it's a virtual photo booth, it can accommodate up to 15 people at a time and also allows them room to jump, play or just stand and pose if they choose. It's fast too - with the entire experience taking only 90 seconds, from start to finish. This means that you, as the couple, can ensure that all of your guests can enjoy it without a long wait in line!
