Most brides aren't aware just how much specialty lighting impacts a wedding.  Events are all about setting a mood, which you can accomplish through myriad big and small details.  But, it's the lighting, a small and often overlooked detail, that leaves a big impact on the overall ambiance, not to mention the photos you plan to cherish forever.  In fact, when you see luxury events, much of what draws you in is great lighting.

Gobo Lights Offer Bright Details for Your Nashville Wedding or Event

Tuesday, July 21, 2015

There are many ways to make your wedding uniquely you, from décor, to music, or even food.  Another great way to make your wedding "uniquely you" is signature gobo lights.  In Nashville, Bright Event Productions is the go-to for Gobos.  These lights can be fully customized for your wedding or event.  They offer personalization with your names, monograms, or pictures. We spoke with the folks at Bright to learn more about how these details illuminate your big day.  Read more below about what they have to offer and how they can be customized for your Nashville wedding or event.

Do you work directly with couples or do you only work with planners who represent the couples?
Yes!  We work with both planners and individuals (though we highly recommend working with a planner for your Big Day!).

Where do couples usually use them?
Custom gobos are typically used on a focal wall or dance floor, where as pattern stock gobos are used to create pattern and texture on a dance floor, a tent ceiling, venue walls – nearly anywhere you want.

Can they be used after an event?  If so, how?
Custom gobos are cut in a 3” diameter steel plate that we are happy to mail to the couple after the event.  Some couples have saved the plate by adding it into a scrapbook, making a Christmas ornament out of it, or even a magnet.  The plate can definitely be reused, but you will need to have a Source IV light to project the gobo.

What are other ways you use lighting to add personality/monograms to wedding?
Gobos can be used in all sorts of ways to create customized designs and add personality to your event.  We have used a glass prism gobo on a tent ceiling to mimic the surface of a geode, overlapped gobos to give the impression of wallpaper on blank walls, and even worked with a client to turn her drawing into a custom gobo.  Endless possibilities are available when you work with BRIGHT!

Bright Event Productions Shares New Facility & Wedding Lighting Ideas at Nashville Open House

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

Last month, Bright Event Productions moved into their new facilty (yes!) and invited Nashville wedding vendors and engaged couples to see the space and new lighting inventory.  I was thrilled and determined to attend.

I woke the morning of the Open House, checked Facebook and started seeing photos from the Open House in everyone's feed.  I'd missed the event!  It was on Wednesday, not Thursday. Ugh!  I goofed!

If you too missed the mingling, the tasty food and the ability to see the craftmanship of the cool lighting in person, all is not lost.  Gregory Byerline took great photos that give a peek into the new inventory.  And, the folks at Bright Event Productions (Abi, Clint and Clayton) are happy to give a tour.

To discuss how they can make your event shine, just email them at [email protected].   Congrats to the Bright Event team!

Molly and Kirk's wedding included these fun spheres, remember?  You can see their Nashville wedding here.

The food, by Chef's Market.  Oh how I hate missing their delish!

I fell in love with the engaged lighting (pictured left) at The Bride Room fashion show last week.  It completely transformed The Cordelle runway.  Stately and mesmerizing.  I knew it was a Bright product immediately!
