Nashville Wedding Venue Spotlight: Cellar One, theLoft and aVenue

Friday, September 18, 2009

Last night, a bride mentioned that she was considered aVenue for her vintage Hollywood wedding. Over the past few months, I’ve heard several brides buzzing about Cellar One and aVenue - sister venues both managed by Nashville Event Space.

I’ve recently learned a lot about their venues and couldn’t wait to share all about Nashville Event Space and their incredible portfolio of 7 modern spaces.

WHAT IS NASHVILLE EVENT SPACE?

Nashville Event Space is a unique collection of special event venues. Our parent company, Randi Events, has been in the special events business for over 14 years. Venue Management is just one of the many facets of the company. Each of the venues has been selected by the company owner to offer something new and exciting to the list of wonderful event venues in Nashville. Please note that Randi Events can coordinate special events in any venue of a client’s choosing.

HOW MUCH IS THE RENTAL FEE?

Rental fees range in price by venue and peak versus off-peak times. Please inquire with the Sales Manager for the Facility Rental fee for any of the venues you may be interested in. A cleaning fee will be charged in addition to the venue rental.

Cellar One

for more pics of Cellar One, visit http://bit.ly/Mst8P

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL FEE?

The rental fee is a fixed cost for the venue only, and does not include tables, chairs or catering services.

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN ALCOHOL?

YES! When you choose to purchase and bring in your own alcohol, a bar set-ups fee is charged and we will hire the ABC certified bartenders for the event to set and serve all alcoholic beverages. Please see the Rental Rates and Specifications information for more information on Bar Management Fee.

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN CATERING?

To ensure the great level of service we provide to our clients, we work with a list of approved caterers in our venues. We would be happy to work as a liaison with you and our approved caterers to develop a menu for your event based upon your specific tastes and budget. Catering Policy can be found on Page 1 of this document.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE EVENT DESIGN SERVICES?

Any client who rents one of our managed venues has the option to utilize our design services at no additional charge. This service extends to those things which involve the venue (including but not limited to vendor relationships, ordering of rentals, assisting in the planning of décor, managing the load-in and load-out schedules and hiring of all staff personnel). Our event designer will work with you every step of the way to make sure the venue is an absolute reflection of your wishes presented throughout the planning process.

WHAT IF I WANT MORE DETAILED COORDINATION OR ASSISTANCE?

Need a wedding planner? No problem! Already have a wedding planner? No problem! We offer wedding ceremony and reception coordination services and we would be happy to offer these services in any venue, not just those that are managed by Nashville Event Space. This service would encompass all aspects of the wedding planning including developing a timeline and directing the rehearsal and wedding ceremony. However, if you have come to us with a wedding planner, we welcome them and are happy to work side-by-side withthem to make your wedding day perfect!

theLOFT

DO I HAVE TO USE YOUR VENDORS?

No. Our design services are complimentary, and this does include access to the vendor relationships we have developed in the many years we have been in business. However, if you feel that you would like to handle the details and hire vendors, you are welcome to do so. Please note that if Hospitality Consultants does not contract the vendors for the event, you will have to provide a representative to check-in and check-out all vendors, and Hospitality Consultants will not be responsible for the correctness/timeliness of any rental orders or deliveries. A list of your vendors must be provided to Hospitality Consultants in advance of the event. If you choose to contract your own vendors, a Facility Manager fee of $20 per hour (minimum of 4 hours) would be incurred for any site meetings these vendors may require, as well as for the duration of their load-in and load-out. Load-out must occur the same day as your event.

Thanks Mindy for all of the info on Nashville Event Space! I’ve included pics of 3 of their venues but they have 3 more - equally fabulous. I’ll blog about them another time but for now - contact them for a venue tour!

Southall Eden Farm - A Wonderful Williamson County Wedding Venue

Thursday, September 17, 2009

I’m in love! I really am. That’s what I thought as I drove through Williamson County in route to Leiper’s Fork’s newest treasure, Southall Eden Farm Wedding.

When I arrived, I was happy to chat with so many great wedding vendors. In fact, I planned to stay for 30 minutes, then head to a family event. But, after seeing the farm all dolled up and bumping into some of Nashville’s best wedding vendors - from The Bake Shoppe and Chef’s Market to Swizzle Parties and Bella Weddings - the time flew by. I had a blast and there were treats and neat finds on every turn.

First - Shannon, the farm’s owner, is super creative. She is the lead designer of Southall Eden Paperie, one of my favorite custom invitation lines and her paper goods and creative touches were evident everywhere.

I won’t continue to yap but I do want to say kudos to Shannon and the fabulous team that turned a cute farm into an exquisite and cozy wedding and event space. And a special thanks to Photo Graphix for getting me pics the next day!!! So impressive.

Weddings with Reese Shares a Shelby Street Bridge Wedding

Wednesday, September 2, 2008

I always look forward to seeing Weddings With Reese (WWR) wedding because I always hear good things from her brides about her strong execution skills. In fact, she just announced that she is giving away free day of wedding coordination via her blog. If you haven’t hired help for your wedding, you need help so this might be your shot!

Today, I am glad that she is sharing a Shelby Street Bridge wedding - which many of you are interested in. So, I hope you enjoy!

Guest Post: Weddings With Reese is a Nashville-based, wedding planner.

This wedding was very close to my heart, as Christa is my best friend! So not only was I her wedding planner (of course), I was also her matron of honor. And it was an honor, for sure. Christa is a very chic city girl, and this wedding needed to reflect that. Everything we did was to reflect the true Nashville feel. From the local musician we tracked down to play acoustic guitar for the ceremony, to the constant amazing views of the skyline, I think we hit it right on.

The ceremony on the Shelby Street Walking Bridge was the perfect setting, with the perfect weather, for the vows. As a venue you can use for your entire wedding if you so desire, I think this is sort of a hidden gem. The Titans Stadium Club provided an amazing view of the city, and the perfect place for Christa and Michaels’ 200+ guests.

The most beautiful bride!

Who is this guy!?? It was funny though!

That’s what happens when you get married on the same day as Beer Fest!

The light was perfect and Chris and Adrienne captured it perfectly.

Gorgeous!

Yum!!! Thanks Mignon!!!

Oh so sweet!

Wedding Coordination - Weddings With Reese

Photography - Chris and Adrienne Scott
Cupcakes - The Cupcake Collection

Hair and Makeup - Amy Lynn Larwig

Flowers - Caprice of The Enchanted Florist

Catering - Centerplate Catering

I cannot say enough to all of the vendors. Everything was flawless, and though I was in the wedding, and felt like I needed to “work”, I didn’t even have to!! Thank you all!

Obviously all of our vendors were AMAZING! I wouldn’t have picked them if they weren’t!

About Venue

Southall Eden is a 5 acre farm located in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee, just two miles from the picturesque village of Leiper’s Fork and minutes from historic downtown Franklin. Its rustic charm make it a perfect location for those seeking a natural yet elegant setting for a wedding, corporate event, or party. Its hillside setting offers views of the rolling pastures and horse farms, while its 1904 farmhouse and turn of the century barn create an authentic farm atmosphere.

It is a brand new wedding venue!

Please check our website or email us for rates. We accept checks, credit cards (service charge may apply).

Which bride budgets are ideal for your venue?

All

What else should brides know about your venue? What makes your venue / special packages unique?

Even though Leiper’s Fork is just a short drive from Nashville and the airport, the uniqueness of the area makes it a “destiniation” wedding even for Nashville residents. The property offers a variety of useable outdoor spaces so that each bride can configure her ceremony and/ or reception exactly the way she wants it, while the natural beauty of the setting makes designing a beautiful wedding an easy task. Southall Eden is a private residence that will only host a limited number of weddings each year, allowing it to maintain its boutique charm.

Finally, the farm is owned and operated by a GIRL who knows what girls want! Owner Shannon O’Kelley has enjoyed attending the weddings of many of her friends over the past few years. Observing their experiences with wedding venues across the nation has been invaluable to her in establishing Southall Eden (hence the women’s bathroom being twice the size of the men’s!!).
