Tasty Treats for Your Wedding Guests

A few weeks ago, I visited Chef’s Market. The restaurant came highly recommended by several Nashville planners and I just had to taste it for myself. As I have learned, everyone has a fave dish from Chef’s Market. Mine…The Banana Pudding - Wow! It was beyond words and was the fluffiest pudding I’d ever tasted. Plus, Shannon, Brennan and Shelby (of Chef Market) provided amazing customer service. Contact Shannon if you need catering for your bridal event.

Fab Friday Finds: Fun Fitness for Nashville Brides

Friday, May 2, 2008

Want to get fit before your big day? Has your health taken back seat to your wedding planning? Want to be in great shape for your honeymoon? No need to worry - I have found several options designed especially for Nashville brides (or women in general).

1) Bridal Fit Challenge - The purpose of the Bridal Fitness Challenge is to help brides start the next phase of their lives in control of their bodies and their health, so they truly live happily ever after. The challenge starts June 1 but applications are due this month. The winner of the contest not only wins a great new body (inside and out) but full wedding planning courtesy of A Magical Affair and other great bridal prizes. Visit their website for more details on the contest.

2) Bella Fitness Training - Offers a bridal bootcamp class designed by a recent bride for other Nashville brides2be.

3) Outlaw Fitness - Katheryn is one of my myspace buddies and I think many of you will appreciate her service (whether you admit it or not:). Outlaw offers Nashville’s 1st and Only Certified Pole fitness/dance aerobics/acrobat studio. So, if you want to get in shape while learning fun ways to entertain your hubby-to-be, attend the classes at Outlaw. Outlaw also offers bachelorette and birthday parties!

4) FemGym - I spotted this neat gym while visiting Centennial Park. The gym is all about women, has great hours and doesn’t require a contract, which is awesome.

3) Focus Fitness - Our newest bride blogger, Fit Bride, is starting a 12 week bootcamp program at Focus. It is a four week program, three days a week from 6:15am to 7:30am. It is an intense, group exercise outdoors, rain or shine, %100 commitment and attention from the trainers and no cancellations. The exercises are unique to keep you challenged and interested, with your body always guessing what’s next, results are guaranteed to surprise you. Focus Fitness is especially focused on brides. They have intensive programs specialized for brides2be to work on your individual needs and desired results. Stay tuned as she will share more with us next week.

The Latest Invitation Styles from Designs in Paper

Thursday, May 1, 2008

I am going to lunch with Donette and Steve of Designs in Paper today and look forward to seeing their new wedding program line. In the meantime, they sent me some of their new invitation designs, so I thought I would share them with you.

Next week, be on the lookout for an article on stationery - because it can be confusing trying to understand the difference between all of these great options.

For now, contact Designs in Paper to learn more about their new, custom invitations styles featured below.

Guest Post: Designs in Paper is a custom invitation company based in the Nashville-area.

Our new invitation styles:

Bellyband - either ribbon or paper bellyband that will give the bride the ability to keep enclosures nicely packaged. We’ve done a few different versions of it - mostly with monogram on the front.

Gatefold - this seems to be the most popular of the styles since it still has everything packaged together…

Accordion - either by itself or by adding a jacket to it, it’s a cool new way to provide all the details about the wedding. The RSVP is a perforated postcard. We can print on front and back, so lots of ways to provide lots of information.

Mailer - a cool Designs in Paper styled mailer … it has a notch for the flap to sit nicely down and we create custom labels to seal it. You can use enclosures, etc. Just sending out a cool sample of chocolate and green today!

Booklet - Love this new style… we’ve done a number of samples with monograms or cool symbols, etc. and then carry the booklet design on the pages as a watermark. The RSVP also is perforated, so guests can just tear it off and send it back.

Flat invitation - We’ve had a few brides looking for a lower cost solution… yet still unique. These are well within any brides budget since our prices are at least as inexpensive as most printing companies.

From a color trends perspective, we’ve done a lot of pinks, greens, lavenders, and browns lately!

As always, our brides receive cool confetti (100 pieces) with their order for free!
