12th Table: A Refreshing & Unique Take on Wedding Rentals, Styling & Logistics

Monday, January 6, 2014

We. Are. Excited. About what, you ask? About what 12th Table is bringing to the, well…table!

12th Table is a locally owned, full-service rental, event-styling, and logistics company that offers a refreshing approach to wedding rentals and design.

We were lucky enough to have the chance to chat with 12th Table’s sweet owner, Megan (a native Nashvillian and newlywed!), about what makes 12th Table such a unique, breath of fresh air in the Nashville wedding industry.

Tell us why you decided to open 12th Table.
As a native Nashvillian, I know this city has a special heartbeat. It’s an inherently creative place. On the other hand, the event rental industry can be fairly generic, so to me it seemed like there was a large gap in the market. We needed an event-oriented company that catered specifically to our city and people.

In a nutshell, we do that. We provide rentals, design and logistics the Nashville way. We create original experiences. Weddings, dinners, barbecues, and long evenings into the twilight - each event deserves to be surprising and fresh, warm and original. Our services and rental collection are a reflection of those beliefs. We treat each client and event individually. Here, there are no cookie-cutter solutions.

Why the name “12th Table?”
We’re a locally oriented company, so it only makes sense to have a local name. 12th Table’s namesake is from our neighborhood: 12 South. It’s a community that’s creative, engaging, welcoming and memorable—a reflection of how we want our events to feel.

What sets you apart from other rental companies?
12th Table is an entirely new business model. We’re Nashville’s only hybrid event company in that we offer rentals, along with styling, planning and logistics. Additionally, unlike other event rental companies, our pricing is all-inclusive. We don’t have up-charges for delivery, set-up, etc., so what you see is what you get. No nickel-and-diming. This is a really sweet, special time in someone’s life, so we want to do what we can to make the process as enjoyable and seamless as possible. Take out the muck and move on to the celebration.

What are some items that you are excited to offer to Nashville brides?
Oh gosh - everything! Locally made farm tables. Parisian inspired chairs. Vintage goblets. Wedding quilts. Fine china. Belgian linens. Beautiful flatware. I’m a sucker for high quality and beautiful details.

Where did you find the items in 12th Table’s collection?
Everywhere. Our items are sourced from local craftsmen, as well as specialty stores. We’re always on the hunt. Restoration Hardware picks sit next to flea market finds. When we see something beautiful, we have to get our hands on it.

Is there anything else you’d like for us to know?
We’re here to help. If you want something and you don’t see it on our site, just ask. We’re always adding inventory and are happy to stock what you need.
