Historic Cedarwood Wedding: Style to Inspire Relaxation and Love

Friday, March 20, 2015

Robin and Shujah knew Historic Cedarwood would help create an environment of love for their early summer wedding. The couple used shades of lavender to display their relaxed style and their love. The Historic Cedarwood provided plenty of room for guests to mingle and celebrate the marriage of the new Mr. and Mrs with a back drop of nature's natural beauty.

How would you describe your style as a couple?

The answer to this question would be a novel.

How did you incorporate that style into your wedding?

Lavender everywhere, as it exudes style, relaxation, and love.

What was your (or your guests’) favorite aspect of your wedding?

The atmosphere; there were flowers and décor everywhere and people had the entire property to celebrate (the barn, main house, front yard, meadow, porch, etc). It was beautiful but relaxed at the same time.

Where did you splurge?

The dress, entrance décor, alcohol.

Where did you save/DIY?

Favors, bridal accessories, hair/make-up.

Now that the wedding day is over, is there anything about your planning process you feel you could have done differently?

Made an organized tanning schedule.

In one sentence, what words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?

Keep it fun! Before you start planning, sit down with your partner and identify your non-negotiables and pick one splurge item each (for us, it was solid videography and the personal grill station).
