Thistle Stop Cafe Offers Intimate Event Space for Showers, Parties While Supporting A Great Cause

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

There's a new venue in Nashville that not only provides you a quaint spot to host a small reception or rehearsal dinner, but helps you support a worthy cause.

It's time you get acquainted with Thistle Stop Cafe. It's owned by the same folks at Thistle Farms, a non-profit business for women who have survived lives of violence, prostitution and addiction, and serves as a place of work for these inspiring ladies.

During the day, you can find locals sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the cafe, which is tucked neatly on bustling Charlotte Avenue in west Nashville. Inside, a modest, yet tasty menu of soup, salad and sandwiches, along with coffee and tea is served in heirloom china from around the world. It’s like your favorite coffee shop with a cool historical twist: its heart of pine floors are 150 years old and the cabinets are made of reclaimed barn wood.

The space, which is perfect for intimate occasions, has a standing capacity of 94, seated dinner capacity of 70. The cafe also caters and provides some musical equipment, which removes some of the stress of planning those details.

Still searching for your rehearsal dinner or small gathering spot? Perhaps Thistle Stop Cafe is worth looking into. Fees start at $100/hr.  Learn more about this event space at thistlestopcafe.org or by contacting their general manager, [email protected].

The event team included:

Southern Events Party Rental
Avalon String Quartet
Scoobie Schneider
Enchanted Florist
Split Screen Production
Dulce Desserts
Fabu Fabu Decor

For many women, their fascination with weddings fades after they say, “I do.” Not for me. Even though my wedding was two years ago, I still very much have a heart for weddings and helping brides focus on what’s important — building a day that reflects both the bride and the groom while focusing on the why of the wedding — the marriage. In addition to my job as a personal trainer and wellness coach, I also coordinate weddings part time, offering couples both perspective and a little elbow grease to make sure their wedding day is a success. I’m a huge advocate for life balance and I like to remind and encourage couples to keep their sanity — and a healthy relationship — in the midst of wedding planning.
