Message Board Contest Starts Today! Share & Win Prizes

Monday, February 4, 2008

Visit “The Bride’s Loop”, our new message boards today to share ideas, recommend vendors, and exchange advice for your upcoming Nashville wedding.

This community was especially created with you in mind - to be your number one resource to connect with other brides and wedding professionals in the Nashville area.

What’s helpful to know about our message boards:

1) Registration is super simple - It takes like 3 seconds to register but please note that the message board registration is different than your ABG bride account/vendor account registration. (Sorry, it’s a glitch we’re working on. But for now, we recommend creating an account using the same username and password you used when you joined ashleysbrideguide.com).

2) Nashville folks are hospitable, even when we’re virtual - Our message boards are very helpful. Ask a question and you can be sure that a fellow Nashville bride or Nashville wedding expert will respond. I’ve connected with some very informed brides and helpful Nashville vendors on this board. You can also send private emails via the message board. Have dish on a vendor you’re not quite comfortable sharing with hundreds of folks? Send someone a private message instead. Bottom line - why plan your wedding alone when you have help 24/7?

3) You get goodies when you help others - Starting today, you can get prizes when you help others (or get help). It’s true, only our site rewards you with fancy prizes just for chatting w/babes online. (Sorry - that was a line from Napoleon Dynamite and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use it:). Seriously, just post at least 10 quality messages a month and you’ll be entered into our drawing for hot prizes. (Message board and blog comments both count!) The first prize will be drawn on March 1.

4) It’s 100% Nashville area-based and Nashville area-focused -We’ve finally got our own site! Believe it or not, but AshleysBrideGuide.com is the only site whose content and community are managed but local Nashville brides and local wedding professionals. No more sharing with national sites or sites that say they’re local but they aren’t:) This is one site that was created exclusively for Nashville wedding planning. Only here can you connect with Nashville brides (versus brides all over Tennessee or the country) and Nashville wedding professionals who know Nashville, the best venues, caterers and more.

See you on the boards!

Ultimate Bachelorette Party, Vegas-style

Thursday, November 15, 2007

Are your bridesmaids throwing you a bachelorette party? If so, why not have a have a kickin’ time on someone else’s dime - in VEGAS!

Cocktails by Jenn is sending one lucky bride and her 7 maids to an ”Ultimate Bachelorette Party” in Las Vegas.

Check out the details here. Also, these cocktails are adorable and look tasty. They would be cute gifts for your bridesmaids, if they enjoy a good drink. While they aren’t available for purchase in the Nashville area (come on Jenn) they can be purchased online.

Please take me if you win:) Fat chance huh. Hey - it could happen.

UPDATE! I just received an email from the Jessica at Cocktails by Jenn. (Wow - they saw my blog!) They informed me that the cocktails are available at wine/spirit stores in the Nashville area. In fact, she mentioned they can be purchased at:Midtown Beverage Ctr - 615-327-3874 1610 Church St, Nashville, TN

I heart Tango!…the new magazine for all stages of love

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Today I received my first edition of the most yummy magazine, Tango. Even though it took forever to receive my first issue (5 months to be exact…but who’s counting:), it was well worth the wait.

The mag is a great addition to nearly anyone’s reading list because it covers topics of interest for men and women and for the engaged, married and single. It is filled with great articles on love, sex, marriage and relationships while offering great travel ideas and activities for couples and daters.

Now that I think about it, it might be a great gift for the bride or groom or members of the wedding party. Why not place a copy of the mag in your wedding party welcome bag and include a subscription (or not:)?

They also have a humorous and helpful blog for engaged couples, which you should check out.

And because I really love the magazine and think you will too - I will be giving away a year’s free subscription to one loyal MWS member! Any registered member of Ashley’s Bride Guide who makes blog or message board comments by December 1, 2007 will be automatically included in the drawing. If you’re registered, simply start leaving your responses to my blog. If not, click here to join Ashley’s Bride Guide now!

Not feeling so lucky? Go ahead and subscribe now. You will enjoy. I promise.
