Is your groom growing jealous that you’ve become addicted to ashleysbrideguide.com, theknot.com and other wedding planning sites? I am sure he wants in on all the fun:) Well, check out groomgroove, a totally helpful website just for grooms! Now, I know quite a few grooms who visit ABG regularly (thank you); here’s another site to bookmark. Oh, check out their $1000 “Proposal Story” Contest.
Ever heard of Wifeville? We’ll, you’re getting married so in addition to being a cool website, it will soon be your new zipcode. Check out the site, dedicated to happy (or not so happy) wives everywhere. Love the t-shirts. Bet you will too.
Rhonda Patton Weddings is our newest Nashville wedding vendor. She is an event floral designer, which means that she works with you or your planner to make any space beautiful. Her floral designs are amazing but her creativity extends beyond flowers. I always love my chats with her because she is oh-so creative and has a knack for creating glam on a budget. So whether your budget is $10K or $80K, she can get you an amazing look for less.
New ABG Baby!
Lindsey, an ABG reader and amazing wedding planner / owner of A Bride Idea, is now a mommy! She and hubby welcomed a healthy baby boy in February. Congratulations!
Lipstick Jungle is a new TV show, based on a book by Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City - hello!). I LOVED Sex and the City so I’m guessing this is another brillant creation. The show debuts on NBC Feb. 7 but we get a sneak peak a week early!
How? Well, here’s the scoop…I’ve become fast friends with Courtney of A Magical Affair. Lucky me! Well, Courtney is the official party host for the Nashville premiere party and she has invited me and my site friends to attend! The party will take place at Take 121 on Thursday, Jan 31 from 6-9pm. Expect great party favors, drinks and fun. If you are interested in joining me at this “Hollywood-meets-the-’ville” event, click here to register with Courtney, then let me know you’re coming too.
I am going to dress like an adult and maybe even take off my “web girl, nerdy glasses”. So, if I dont recognize you, I’m not being shady…I just can’t see ya. Speak anyway.
If you are wondering what this has to do with weddings….well, I am inviting wedding professionals and brides and the party is being thrown by a wedding/event planner - there! :)
See ya on Sunday (if you’re coming to my event) and Thursday (at Lipstick).

Ok. Next week, I promise to give you a full run down on this week’s bridal shows. But first, you have to check out this video, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
First, some background. My girl April of Harmony Designs Photography highly recommended Kelly of Party Patrol because everyone always has fun when they hire him as a DJ, as she did for one of her events.
Well, when I saw the Party Patrol booth at Weddings, The Bridal Show this Saturday, I thought I would go up and introduce myself to Kelly. Before I could barely say hello, Kelly grabed me and started dancing.Within seconds, he broke into the Cupid Shuffle.
Anyway, I immediately grabbed my camera and started filming. Here is the result. Now, let me warn you…I was so shocked at the chain of events that I was literally screaming and laughing throughout the filming. So, please excuse my big mouth. But, as you watch, notice the crowd that quickly gathers – including brides and even neighboring vendors. In fact, the guy who joins (in the black jeans, black sweater and white top) was actually working the “Things Remembered” booth. He clearly was more interested in jammin’ than engraving.I wanted to get back in the line but someone had to work, rightJ
