Wedding Details
How would you describe your style as a couple?
Rustic and classic. We love vintage and all things that are old.
How did you incorporate that style into your wedding?
The venue having the country feel, our décor and attire choices were made with a more romantic look in mind.
What was your (or your guests’) favorite aspect of your wedding?
The band was amazing and kept everyone going and our non-traditional father daughter dance was a huge surprise that entertained everyone. The venue was also a great hit especially at that time of year while everything was blooming. It truly is a beautiful place.
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Our biggest expenses were venue, band, food, photographer and videographer and we saved by making all of our own décor and using our own business-owned limos for transportation.
Now that the wedding day is over, is there anything about your planning process you feel you could have done differently?
I really feel like every part went perfectly.
What advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Enjoy the experience! There will be stressful moments during planning, but don’t let it consume your life. The planning period is a great time to have fun together — not to constantly fight. After all of the planning is done and the wedding day is approaching, hire a coordinator to take all of the last-minute stress away. It may seem like an unnecessary expense but, the peace of mind that comes from having someone there on the wedding day to take care of every single thing for you is priceless.
