Regalo Design has long been one of Nashville’s go-to vendors for exceptional wedding planning services, lush floral arrangements, and beautiful décor options. Starting with their own big day, Regalo’s owners, Sarah and Damon have been involved in the wedding industry for almost 10 years.
What many may not know is that Regalo Design offers full-service wedding planning options, with personalized service that ensures your day will be exactly what you’ve dreamed. To find out more about what their new full-service option provides, we recently talked with Sarah. Check out our interview with this planner extraordinaire below!

What does your full-service option provide for brides and their families?
This option provides the ability to enjoy the planning process and most importantly the wedding day. Too often we speak with brides who are overwhelmed and stressed out by the wedding planning process, which can take an emotional toll on anyone. At Regalo Design, we strive to build relationships with our clients so that we can better serve them not just on the day of, but throughout the whole experience. To us, it is more than just planning a wedding. We actually care that your day is perfect as you begin your life with the one you have chosen to spend forever.

How is this offering different from a partial planning session with Regalo?
It doesn’t matter which service a bride chooses, we still have to do the same amount of work on the day of. The difference with the partial planning package and the full-service option is time and connections. The partial planning begins two months prior to the wedding. For some brides, this is all they need, but for others, they feel overwhelmed at the thought of completing all of the details in the final months leading up to the wedding. For the full service option, at the two-month point, we are almost done with the details of the day so that they can relax and enjoy time with family, friends, and most importantly…their fiancé!

Does the full service package provide florals, linens, and rentals?
The full-service planning package includes full-service planning from engagement to wedding day, as well as our planning center, a rehearsal coordinator, day-of staff to take care of full set up and tear down, and flowers and décor such as centerpieces, draping, & lighting. We are not a rental company, so we do not have tables, chairs, tents, dance floors, linens and china. However, we do book all of that for our clients if needed through amazing rental companies. We DO have all of the embellishments such as centerpieces, arches, lanterns, table embellishments, draping, string lights, up lights, and all of the décor pieces that create the atmosphere on your wedding day.

What kinds of things do brides and their families most appreciate about going with a full-service package with Regalo?
They appreciate the fact that we are their advocate and we have their best interest in mind. Damon and I had an amazing wedding day, but that day was almost 10 years ago. Our job is not to give our clients OUR wedding day; our job is to give them THEIR wedding day! We do this by listening to what our clients want and what their needs are. It isn’t about us or anyone else on that day. It is all about the bride and groom! We truly stay focused on that and try to avoid outside factors that can ruin a bride & groom’s day.

What would you say to a bride who is considering going with a day-of package or trying to plan their wedding on their own?
At the very least, find a day-of planner. There are so many things that can happen on the day-of and it is so important to have a professional in place on the wedding day to take care of any situations that might arise.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
My favorite part is when I close the doors before the bride enters the ceremony. I am standing there with just the bride and whomever is walking her down the aisle. There is such peace in that moment that is unexplainable. The emotion is so raw and genuine and every week when I see a bride who is about to see her groom, it amazes me. Very few people get to experience this moment and I am so blessed to be a part of it. In that moment, we are reminded that this is what it is all about, and it is wonderful to see the bride’s love just waiting to burst through the doors to greet her groom.

This month, Carlie at 2 Travel Anywhere chatted with us regarding an incredible resort in Jamaica for honeymoons, Sandals Whitehouse. If the incredible photos shown below don’t convince you to call Carlie immediately, check out our interview with her about the options to enjoy at Sandals Whitehouse.
Where is Sandals Whitehouse located?
Sandals Whitehouse is in southern Jamaica, in a remote location within a 500-acre nature preserve. View majestic mountains and miles of Caribbean sunrises and sunsets from each of the beachfront suites. Sandals Whitehouse is Jamaica’s only all beachfront resort.
Tell us a little bit about the resort.
Sandals Whitehouse is all about privacy and elegance. This resort provides European grandeur, with manicured gardens amid a Jamaican landscape. There are three distinctive European Villages - French, Italian and Dutch, with a grand piazza lined with bistros, cafes, restaurants, and bars - you may even forget that you’re in the Caribbean! As you’re located within a nature preserve, there are no beach vendors, and no other resorts nearby. With all of the white sand beaches around the resort, there are plenty of chairs with shade or sun.
What do you love about this resort?
There is something for everyone - you can walk away from other people for a private dinner, or enjoy the swim-up bars at one of the three pools. Evenings have beach parties with bonfires in fire pits near the ocean and Friday nights include a beach party with a local Caribbean band and Caribbean food. Play a game of tennis, volleyball, outdoor chess and shuffleboard, billiards, or any board game imaginable. If you’d like to be on the water, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking, a glass bottom boat... and more! At night, enjoy energetic entertainment with shows at a magnificent amphitheater or at the lively piano bar.
This resort is for…
Couples who are looking for a different type of Caribbean getaway with a European feel. There are luxury beachfront rooms on a budget and a variety of rooms in different price ranges, including options with butler service. There is no tipping allowed at any of the bars or restaurants, so once you arrive there are no additional costs. This resort is all-adults, and all-inclusive, which makes it perfect for a honeymoon or anniversary destination.
What are some features of the resort that will really appeal to couples?
Sandals Whitehouse provides two miles of private beach to walk alongside the turquoise waters. All of their opulent rooms are oceanfront suites. There are three pools with a view of the ocean, including the largest pool in Jamaica. Romantic dining options, a luxury spa, and plenty of activities to enjoy will fill your vacation with endless opportunities.
Is there any other information you think is important for our readers to know?
The separate European areas, French, Italian and Dutch, all have their own unique vibe. At this resort you can see the sunrise and sunset each day from the two-mile long beach. Right now they have a promotion where you get a Couples Massage or Resort Credit. 2 Travel Anywhere is a preferred Sandals Agency and I have personally traveled and vacationed to all the Sandals Resorts. There is no additional cost to book with me and I can price match anything!

Our featured resort of the month from our friends at 2Travel Anywhere is Jamaica’s gorgeous Sandals Ochi resort. A private retreat space with a walled courtyard and over 1200 sq. feet of pure luxury, this suite includes a king size bed, sunken bath with dual vanities in the large ensuite, along with a modern lounge area, and a fully-equipped kitchenette. And one of the best features - your own private Roman pool and hot tub, surrounded by gorgeous hand-drawn murals in the vast courtyard. Carlie from 2Travel Anywhere recently booked a getaway for a Nashville couple and you have to see the photos to believe how beautiful this space is!
Scroll down for more details on this fabulous option for your honeymoon or anniversary trip.
Tell us a little bit about the island where the resort is located.
Sandals Ochi is hidden away in Jamaica, Ocho Rios. This location is the perfect getaway for those who want privacy, their own pool, and butler service. There are many things to do in this area if you’d like to venture outside of your private room. You can swim with the dolphins, trek to picture perfect waterfalls, take a zip-lining adventure, and so much more nearby.
What do you love about this resort?
There are so many reasons I love this resort. One of them is that you have 15 dining options to choose from and it is all included in the price. The butler villas at this resort are tucked into the rolling hillside for those who desire a more private setting and also have lots of activities. Beachfront pools, unlimited golf, and greens fees are included. All premium alcohol with entertaining bartenders who make your favorite cocktails (no tipping allowed at any of the bars and restaurants). This is the largest Sandals Resort property to meet and mingle with others or find a private, quiet area.
This resort is for…
The couple who want to stay at an all inclusive, all adults resort with so much more to do than just hit the beach, and for those who want several dining options all included in the price.
What are some features of the resort that will really appeal to couples?
There truly is something for everyone at this resort, but one of the #1 things that appeals to most engaged couples is the superb Butler Rooms. This resort has Butler rooms in every price range. The Sandals butler service provides guests staying in top tiered suites with the best personalized attention. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by your butler and provided with a private cell phone to cater to your every request. Want a snack brought to you? Call your butler! Want to enjoy a romantic dinner or lunch in your room or next to the private pool? Call your butler! Have breakfast in bed every day if you wish. Have someone unpack your luggage, iron your clothes, and literally take care of any needs you may have while staying. With 15 dining options, it can be overwhelming to decide what to eat, so your butler will take you to a nice private table set up for the two of you with menu items that you enjoy. Anything you wish, ask your butler! Their full time job is to make sure you have the honeymoon of your dreams.
Is there any other information you think is important for our readers to know?
Sandals Resorts is one of the leaders for honeymoon destination and there is a reason why. They know how to make sure the two of you have the most unforgettable experience. You are free to spend the days doing exactly as you please - you can lounge all day or do as much as you wish because at Sandals it is all included. You can put your wallet in the safe upon arrival, relax, and focus on each other. Sandals only has king bed suites so it is a couples resort and adults only. Right now they have great promotions including up to 65% off and 1 free night!

Wedding Details
How would you describe your style as a couple?
I would describe us as old-fashioned. We have always said we were born in the wrong decade. We also share a love for books.
How did you incorporate that style into your wedding?
The theme of the wedding was vintage. From the mismatched heirloom plates to being married in one of the oldest churches in our town, we tried to bring an elegant antique feel to the wedding. We incorporated our love for books by using distressed, old books as décor pieces for both the ceremony and reception.
What was your (or your guests’) favorite aspect of your wedding?
The décor, food, and cake! There were just too many great things to pick one!
Where did you splurge?
Rentals: We could have gone with less expensive simple white plates for the reception, but the heirloom china plates truly captured the vintage theme we wanted.
Videography: This was not originally in the budget, but the importance of having a professional capture your special day became apparent throughout the planning process. Looking back, we are extremely happy with our decision to hire a videographer.
Photographer: From the beginning we knew we wanted to splurge on photography. There is only one chance to capture our special day and we wanted someone we could trust to provide great quality. After weeks of research, I found Katherine Birkbeck via the Wedding Photojournalist Association. Katherine did not disappoint!
Where did you save/DIY?
Wedding favors: My mom saw the bride and groom pretzels on Pinterest and decided to try making them herself. They turned out beautifully and saved us a great deal on wedding favors!
Books: We acquired the books for the ceremony and reception décor from multiple sources. First, we bought old books from Goodwill (everything is 50% off on the first Saturday of every month) and our local library (sold the books for $1/each). We then spray painted the books different vintage pastel colors and distressed them with sandpaper and coffee. We also borrowed old books from friends.
Now that the wedding day is over, is there anything about your planning process you feel you could have done differently?
Honestly, no! Looking back only justifies our decision to hire Regalo Design as our wedding planner! They truly made the planning experience a joy for everyone involved!
In one sentence, what words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Remember that at the end of the day you will be married to the love of your life, which is truly what matters the most!

One of our favorite local vendors, Street Tuxedo, has once again come up with an innovative way to serve Nashville’s brides and grooms. With four locations serving Nashville, Street Tuxedo can now come to you with the debut of their Tux Truck! We are really excited about the possibilities that this new service offers engaged couples in Nashville, as the Tux Truck can come to you and take care of all of your men's attire needs. Check below for all the details on our convo with Rachael of Street Tuxedo.
Where did the idea for the Tux Truck originate?
About a year ago, I was having a conversation with a friend about a local fashion truck. The wheels started turning in my head. "We could have a truck; it could be a mobile Street Tuxedo." But I didn't mention it at first to the boys (Dad, Dick, and John) because I hadn't fully thought through the full potential of it. Fast forward two months or so: The owner of said fashion truck (K. McCarthy) decided to use Street Tuxedo for her wedding tuxes--total sign from God right there! When her fiancé, the builder of the truck, came in, I was drilling him with questions and spouting off ideas. After he left, I called John and said, "We have to get a truck. The possibilities are endless!" We can do everything from parking in high school parking lots for prom tuxes to doing at home bookings with brides and grooms. We can even go to hotels when a convention is in town for black tie events.
Will your full line of tuxedos be showcased on the truck, or just the most popular styles/colors?
We plan to have most styles (in mannequin sizes) to display on the truck.
Is there a fee for couples to have the Tux Truck come to an event/groom's home for fittings?
For weekends that the truck is parked in a particular area, there will not be a charge, but the couple would want to book an appointment to ensure their time was reserved. For one-on-one events, there may be a fee depending on circumstance and distance. Fees have yet to be determined.
What area(s) will the Tux Truck serve?
That's the beauty of the truck- we can be just about anywhere. For now, we will focus on the Middle TN area.
How does a couple book the Tux Truck? What days/hours will it be in operation?
They can call 615.612.9548. The hours/days will vary.
How long would an average visit with the Tux Truck last for 6-8 groomsmen?
Depending on what needs they have, it could range from 30 minutes to an hour.
What other services for busy couples are you able to offer with the Tux Truck?
It's great for couples having a Nashville destination wedding- those that are only in town for a short time and have to divide that time among numerous vendors. We can come to their hotel or any location to register their wedding. We meet several couples at bridal shows that may feel our locations are too far, so we will go to their city and bring Street Tuxedo to them. Have several out-of-town groomsmen? Will they be in town for the bachelor party? We can come to you before the partying begins and get them all measured at one time. I am sure there are more services that we haven't even thought of yet. Have an idea/request? Shoot us an email!
Can the concierge service be used with the Tux Truck?
Yes it can. We also feel that having the truck at your wedding will make for some cool pre-wedding photos with the groomsmen.
Is there anything else you'd like our readers to know about this offering?
We can also do corporate events. We can come to your office if your company is having a black tie event. We can also be at hotels for last minute guests or corporate events needing formal wear.
To contact Street Tuxedo, you can visit one of the owners in person in Green Hills at 2209 Bandywood Drive Ste. E. or call 615.612.9548 to inquire about the Tux Truck. More information can be found online at streettuxedo.com
